Do You Have Questions??

When God gives you direction, follow it!

"...so David inquired of the Lord, and he answered..." 2 Samuel 5:23

"...David did as the Lord commanded him..." 2 Samuel 5:25

How did David become so mighty, powerful, and anointed?   Two ways: First, he inquired of God before he made any drastic decisions, and second, he did what the Lord told him to do - hence he had all trust and had faith in the Lord for his plans and endeavors.   So, my point, you ask?  Simple: seek God first, (first, and, did I mention, first), then do what God tells you to do without looking around for different answers - PERIOD.

Listen to what people are saying to you - God may be speaking through them.

"And the Lord told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you - it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king."

1 Samuel 8:7

Listen, really listen, to the words people say to you, especially repeated words from different people, as there in their words may just lie your answers to prayers you've been seeking answers to.  As well, when you truly listen, you may just realize that you've been listening only through the ears of your worldly self - not through the ears of your heart - which just may bring you to a whole new revelation of your life.

Prayers work

"Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife because she was barren.  The Lord answered his prayer and his wife Rebekah became pregnant."

Genesis 25:21

When you pray for others, when others pray for you, prayers get answered!

The WAY

“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient path, the path where the good way is and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls.”

Jeremiah 6:16

The good way: God’s way!

Find it!

How?

Ask him! And when he answers, listen to, and follow, what he tells you!

Be still and listen

“… And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.”

Whether we are in severe trial or tribulation,  or wonderful peace and contentment, God is with us.  Therefore, during each scenario, good or bad, we must get out of ourselves and the world, and we must take time to stand completely still and quiet before God and LISTEN - listen closely - because God is speaking to us and until we quiet our minds we won’t be able to hear his gentle whispers with the answers and prayers we are seeking answers to.

Wisdom comes from within

“… I saw that all those who lived and walked under the sun followed the youth…”

Ecclesiastes 4:15

Wisdom doesn’t always come from those older than us, those with a superior title, or those that have a degree behind their name.  No, wisdom is found in everyone.  So take time to look and listen to whomever you may be in contact with – you never know, you just might find the answers to your deepest of questions.

Every good thing

“…I want you also to be smart, making sure every “good” thing is the real thing. Don’t be gullible in regard to smooth-talking evil. Stay alert like this, and before you know it the God of peace will come down on Satan with both feet, stomping him into the dirt…” Romans 16:190-20 MSG

If you want to know what to believe, what decisions to make, and choices to take, then dig into The Word.  In there you will find all guidelines and answers you need to move forward as well as what you should believe when it comes to worldly talk and ways.  Yes, in His Word you can test every worldly-stamped, so-called, good-thing and see if it aligns with God's words; if what the world says doesn't line up, turn and run from it – fast! And don't look back, it isn't worth your time or salvation.

It's all about choices

“Everything is permissible for me – but not everything is beneficial.  Everything is ‘permissible for me’ – but I will not be mastered by anything.”  1 Cor. 6:12 (NIV 1984)

It is all about choices!  We all have them to make, however, we all often to not make them for the right reasons.  Our choices, whether it is faith, food, fun, health, family, work, finances, etc., need to be made with these two questions in mind:  ‘Do I have peace about this?’ And, ‘Would God approve?’.  If both questions are answered with a no, then some deep, powerful prayer is definitely necessary; if answered with a yes, then the choice should be pretty easy for you to make.

Our God-given, God-blessed lives

Isaiah 35:

3 Energize the limp hands, strengthen the rubbery knees.

4 Tell fearful souls, "Courage! Take heart! God is here, right here, on his way to put things right And redress all wrongs.

He's on his way! He'll save you!"

5 Blind eyes will be opened, deaf ears unstopped,

6 Lame men and women will leap like deer, the voiceless break into song. Springs of water will burst out in the wilderness,

streams flow in the desert.

Today is a new day! Put yesterday behind you and begin anew.  Great things are in store for you – God’s child.  Open your eyes and ears to him and he’ll open your eyes and ears to his blessings, ones you didn’t even realize you already have, and answers to questions that you didn’t realize have been answered.    Be bold, stand tall, and remember Whose you are, where you come from and the great future you have ahead of you.  It is your time!  It is your God-given, God-blessed life – own it, live it, enjoy it, and embrace it.

God always answers

"God always answers, one way or another, even when people don't recognize his presence." Job 33:14

You may feel that God is ignoring you - He's not.  He is with you every step of the way, and if you'll just hold on, you will soon realize that what is happening to you, is actually happening for you - for your blessing, for your good.Trust God, he know's what he is doing!

Want right answers?  Pray to God – your answer will assuredly come.  In addition, those answer will be ones that you can confidently listen to, follow, and count on – no questions necessary.

God will bring the blessings

Micah said, “Now I know that God will make things go well for me – why, I’ve got a Levite for a priest!” Judges 17:13, The MSG

As a child of God, when He hears your cry for help, He goes to work; and whether it be the form of a person, or a place, or a thing, God will bring it to you, and that is when you will know that your prayers and dreams have been answered.

 

The anointing

“But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you…” 1 John 2:27 AMPC

When it comes to living a righteous life and making good and godly choices, you don’t need to keep asking the world, you only need to ask God.  The answer resides within– the Holy Spirit – and His answers will never lead in the wrong direction, or cause wrong choices to be made.

So, stay away from the world when it comes to making big decisions or seeking big answers.  Instead, seek God, He will never let you down.

Word and deed.

"Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity. Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you]." Colossians 4:4-6 AMPC

Two questions: One, are you making the most out of every moment of your life?  Two, do you think before you speak?  

Our time here in the world is for a reason; our time here in the world is to follow the call of Jesus. So, if there are ares in our lives that bear and produce no fruit, then now is a good time to change those areas with fruit bearing deeds so that we will never have to look back and be saddened because we wish we would have lived differently... stopped focusing on certain aspects, and focused more on aspects that are God-called.

As for our speech, we could all use some extra thinking before we even speak a word.  So, join me and decide today to think before the words start flying out of your mouth.  I honestly believe that one simple word in the presence of another can either lift them up, change their lives, or give them hope they didn't have before.  No, we may not always know what our words do to others, but I'm positive of this: we will be held accountable to our words, and one way or another, (good, bad and ugly), our words will come back full circle.  In essence, make sure that what you speak to another is what you want spoken to you, because your turn will come.

Let God speak for you.

"... do not be anxious beforehand about what you are to say 'nor [even] mediate about it; but say whatever is given you in that hour and at the moment, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit." Mark 13:11 AMP

When we are getting ready for a time where eyes and questions will be on us, (for example, job interview, leadership conference, speaking engagements, etc.), most of us spend hours, and even days, beforehand worrying, wondering, thinking, practicing, rehearsing about our words and the way in which we will speak them.  Although, it is very important to be prepared, a lot of us are better off having a game-plan, but we need to let God play the game. In other words, have the ground work ready for your upcoming event, but let God, and know that He will, put your words in the proper format, with the proper manner and etiquette, at the most appropriate time.  I believe, and know, that if you (and me as well) do, you will leave that room with your head held high, giving hi-fives to the Spirit within, and knowing that you know that whatever the outcome may be, you spoke words anointed by the Spirit and shocking even your most critical of critics.

My friends, God is good, and He will speak through you if you let Him.  Therefore, give it a try, I'll bet if you do, you will keep yourself free from a bunch of unnecessary trouble, as well as keep yourself at the top of any game.
