Strength, dignity, and security

"...strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future!" Proverbs 31:25

Strength, dignity, and security are attained by being a reverential, worshipful, and bold believer in our Lord and Savior.  Yes, God is the only one that can give you these; all the might, power, and money you have won't even come close.

If you haven't, yet, accepted God into your heart and asked Him to be your Lord and Savior, then now would be a great time!  Take a few moments and ask the Lord to come into your life, and forgive you your sins - He will - and you will become a brand new creation, in Him.  Then, the Lord will take you by the hand, pouring blessing upon blessing over you, and He will cloth you with the strength, security, and dignity you need to get you through the rest of your worldly life in a way that those who've chosen to stay in the world could only hope for.

To speak or not to speak...

"Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a [self-confident] fool than for him."
Proverbs 29:20

Think before you speak otherwise you may have to eat the words you speak!

Where there is greed, strife will surely abound

"He who is of a greedy spirit stirs up strife..." Proverbs 28:25

Greed and strife go hand in hand; you cannot have one without the other!  Take a few moments to think about your environment, your faith, and your heart - are they full of turmoil and upset, or are they peaceful, loving, and kind?  If you find that your world, and your heart, aren't full of the joy and peace you so desire, then maybe it is time to take a step back, re-arrange your mind, your priorities, and your outlook on life, and start enjoying the blessings and benefits of generosity, love, and kindness - not in a worldly way, but in a way that only God can fulfill; a way that surpasses all worldly understanding.

Taking care of your flocks.

"Be diligent to know the state of your flocks and look well to your herds; For riches are not forever..." Proverbs 27:23,24

Take time, right now, to analyze the things that mean the most to you.  What do you wake up for everyday?  Is it God and family, or is it money and power?  If it is the latter, then now would be a really good time to re-think your life, otherwise you may find yourself overfilled with riches and power, but filled with an emptiness that pulls you down until you can no longer get up.  Therefore, know the important things in life - God and family - and keep them first, because when you feel like you're on your last leg, then those are the things that will help you decide between life or death.

Choose God and family; choose life!!

A fools folly

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him..." Proverbs 26:4

and remember:

"As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly." Proverbs 26:11

Therefore,

Do not worry about prideful, spiteful wrong-doers, nor lose heart in doing good, staying calm, and taking the high road, for in due time and at the appointed season you shall reap His rewards, while the prideful, spiteful wrong-doer buries himself in a grave he's pre-dug for himself. (partially adapted from Galatians 6:9)

One's own glory

“…for men to seek glory, their own glory, causes suffering and is not glory.” Proverbs 25:27

Stop trying so hard!  Your gifts, talents, intelligence, and inspiration will shine through all on its own, in its own way, and to the right people.  If people aren’t noticing, and you want them to, then I guarantee you that those are the people that will do you no good, so back off and let them go.

Ease your mind and know that God will shine through you at just the right time, at just the right place, and in just the right moment, and you will be glorified in a way that will never be second guessed !!

When the righteous fall

“For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again…” Proverbs 24:16

Never, ever, ever, give up!!

When we stumble, when we fall, and when we make mistakes in life, we should bounce right back up knowing that it is at those times when we get to start again, but we get to start again with more wisdom, more compassion, more determination, and more faith than ever before. Eventually we even realize that our stumble, fall, or mistake, was a miraculous blessing in disguise, because it pushed us forward into a whole new element of life ~ a huge step forward to our eternal destiny.
Praise God - Hallelujah

Stop wearing yourself out!

"Weary not yourself to be rich; cease from your own wisdom." Proverbs 23:4

God's Word makes it clear: reverential and worshipful fear of the Lord is the key to riches, honor, and life (Proverbs 22:4), not how hard we work, how smart we are, who we are, or who we know. Yes, if we want to become rich, (not just in finance, but in spiritual, mental, physical, and love as well), then we need to focus more on His Wisdom, and lots and lots less on our own human wisdom and understanding.  Friends, I truly believe that If we begin to do this, to abide whole-hardheartedly by the Word of God, then not only will riches come abundantly, but we will relieve ourselves of the undo stress that we carry around.

Give God a chance - Give you life a chance!

Staying out of trouble begins with zipping your lip

“He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from troubles.” Proverbs 21:23

I know how hard it is to keep our mouths shut when we want to put someone in their place, or when we are hurt, but it is utterly important that we let God handle it! It is time for us to grow up, zip up our lips, walk away, and let the Lord be the one to put another in their place.  If God does it, it’ll only have to be done once, it’ll be done the right way, and it’ll be done in a way that the offender probably won’t want to do it again.

Again, I know how hard it is not to say anything when we are distraught, but I guarantee that if we do, God will elevate us a step closer to victory than we’ve ever been before!

Repayment is God's

“Do not say, I will repay evil, wait for the Lord and He will rescue you.” Proverbs 20:22

Isn’t it nice to know that you can walk away from those do you wrong without saying one word, without any thought of retaliation? We can live stress free knowing that when we face evil/dreadful situations, the Lord will have our backs, repayment will be from Him, and soon, very soon, their glory shall come to an end. Amen and hallelujah.

The truth and the truth only

“A false witness shall not be unpunished and he who breathes out lies shall not escape… [he] shall perish.” Proverbs 19:5,9

Lying is a major sin to God, and He will not overlook it.  He put it as one of His Ten Commandments, and that is proof - lying is disastrous; there will be consequences, and they won’t be pleasant to our flesh.

We all really need to focus on the truth.  We also need to be ready to stand up to others when they are in the midst of a lie, because overlooking a sin is not acceptable, and consequences will be faced for those that do it.  Therefore, truth and truth only.  No more lies! No more fibs, no more pretending!  We have to abide by God’s Word – it is the only way if we want victory in our lives, and in the lives of those we love.

Offense and strife

“He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats or harps on a matter separates even close friends.” Proverbs 17:9

Let it go!  Get over it! Move on!! It is in the past and it isn’t worth the time anymore.

“The beginning of strife is when water first trickles, therefore stop contention before it becomes worse and quarrelsoming breaks out.” Proverbs 17:14

Stay calm! Keep your mouth shut if the words won’t be pretty.  Talk it out like an adult. Apologize if necessary!

Evil plots and schemes

"He who shuts his eyes to devise perverse things and who compress his lips brings evil to pass." Proverbs 16:30

Don't ignore wrongdoing - SPEAK UP!
Friends, if we don't speak up when we know that perverse, and/or evil wrongdoings are going on around us, then we will be held accountable by the Lord, and I can assure you, the consequences will be worse than the evil plot itself. Therefore, help yourself, help those around you, and do you part to stand up against evil - when you do, I know the Lord will have your back every step of the way.

The words in which we speak

"A soft answer turns away wrath... a gentle tongue is a tree of life..." Proverbs 15:1,4

The words we speak can lift up or cut down a spirit - either our own or anther's.  So, it is vitally  important to use our words to lift up , encourage, and promote others.  Hurtful words always end up backfiring in our face anyway - they are not worth the damage they cause.  So, let's begin to think before we speak, and see if our words can begin to change lives of those around us for the better, making the world in which we live a blessing to all whom are involved.

The Fountain of Life

“Reverential and worshipful fear of the Lord is a fountain of life that one may avoid the snares of death.” Proverbs 14:27

Yes!! Something that no amount of money can buy! So, no matter who you are, it is yours for the doing!

Friends, life isn’t lived unless you love the Lord with every ounce of who you are! Therefore, love Him, worship Him, honor Him, obey Him, and believe in Him like you’ve never believed before, and you too will have the superior product of all products – The Fountain of Life Himself, Jesus Christ. ----------- Praise God!!

A good way to fail

“He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.” Proverbs 13:3

Wealth won in haste or unjustly or … for vain or detrimental use will dwindle away, but he who gathers little by little will increase.”
Proverbs 13:11

Yep, a big mouth and selfish desires are two good ways to make sure you do NOT succeed in life.

Standards to live by

“Lying lips are extremely disgusting and hateful to the Lord, but they who deal faithfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12:22

“The hand of the diligent [steadfast, conscientious, purposeful, busy, careful] will rule…” Proverbs 12:24

Hold yourself to the these standards: honest, ethical, trustworthy, diligent, and pure; because not only can being a leader be amazing, but being a delight to God is the highest goal in life to strive for!!

Assurance in times of trouble

“Assuredly the wicked shall not go unpunished, but the multitude of the righteous shall be delivered.”
Proverbs 11:21

Those of us that love the Lord with all we are, and believe in Him with all sincerity and faith, can rest assure that when we do fall into times of trouble, the Lord will see to it that we are delivered, redeemed, and revived in hope.

Keep your entire hope and faith in God and experience true, godly, magic.

Wisdom

"I [Wisdom] have counsel and sound knowledge.  I have understanding, I have might and power... I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me." Proverbs 8:14,17

True, godly, Wisdom isn't a verb, She is a noun.  She is real and she is here for you! Seek her and you will find her! Wisdom has what you need to succeed in all you do and she'll generously give it to you!

So, do your part: pray, seek, listen, wait, and stay faithful and soon She will fill your life with the wisdom and understanding you need..

Life or death?

“Keep my commandments and live…” Proverbs 7:2

Or to put it another way: Don’t keep God’s commands and die…!

Hmmm… yep! I’m definitely going with the former – you?

Six things that God hates, seven are an abomination...

“These six things the Lord hates indeed, seven are an abomination…,
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness…, and he who sows discord among his brethren.”
Proverbs 6:16-19

It is a fact, God hates: pride, lying, killing, wickedness, evil, and evil instigators.  If you happen to be in the midst of doing any of these, or are one of these, then back out now! It is time to humbly repent to the Lord and let Him cleanse you of your sins! Then, do whatever it takes to rectify the situation(s).  Otherwise, I assure you, if you continue in anything that God hates, your life will be a daily living hell, and living like that, my friend, won’t be fun.

The grass isn't greener!

“Let your way in life be far from her [infidelity], and come not near the door of her house, Lest you give your honor to others… lest strangers take their fill of your strength and wealth…” Proverbs 5:8-10

The grass isn’t greener on the other side!!

Being tempted is one thing, but saying yes to the temptation of infidelity will only bring Hell knocking right at your door! Don’t do it! Do not allow the thoughts of infidelity into your heart and don’t make light of it; it ruins lives, it ruins homes – it ruins you and it ruins your family.

Do whatever it takes to stay away!

Vigilance

“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23

Our quality of life depends on what is in our hearts; therefore, we have to be on guard with which thoughts, words, and actions we are allowing to be embedded within us.  If we let our hearts become corroded with resentment, anger, regret, fear, hurt, pain, depression, selfishness, and harshness, then the quality of our life will follow suit.

So, stand strong against bad thoughts, actions, mindsets and the like, and begin to only allow the good things in life, as well as the fruits of the Spirit, fill you ~ love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, humility, and self-control…

Skillful and godly Wisdom

“Skillful and godly Wisdom is more precious than rubies; and nothing you can wish for is to be compared… [it is] life to your inner self… [and] you will walk in your way securely… [as well,] you shall not dash your foot or stumble.” Proverbs 3:15,22-23

Godly Wisdom: Amazing lives cannot be lived without it – period!!

Every good path

"Yes, if you cry out [to God] for insight and... understanding, If you seek [God's wisdom] as for silver... then you will understand righteousness, justice, and fair dealing; yes, you will understand every good path." Proverbs 2:3,4,9

I truly believe that those of us living in confusion, fret, worry, fear, and the like, are because we are trying to figure out our problems, hopes and dreams by ourselves, which will not work! Instead, we need to be crying out to God, having faith in His perfect timing, patiently waiting for His answers, all the while, living our present states to the fullest that God has to offer. We should aim to spend our time in joy, peace, contentment, and security, knowing that in due time the wisdom and understanding we seek, for any given situation, will be revealed to us.
Praise God and Amen

True Widsom

"But those who hearkens to me [Wisdom] shall dwell securely and in confident trust... without fear or dread of evil." Proverbs 1:33

If we have any sort of fear, dread, hurt, or evil in our thoughts, or lives, then it is time to dig deeper into God's Word, pray with the utmost sincerity, and open our eyes, ears, hearts, mind, and souls, to the Wisdom - God's Wisdom! It won't steer us wrong, and soon fear, dread, and the like, will be a thing of the past.
