A slave to sin or a slave to God?
"...for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him... " (2 Peter 2:19)
Therefore,
"... be on guard, so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall away from your secure position." (2 Peter 3:17)

You belong!!!
Ephesians 2:19-22 Amplified Bible (AMP)
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the [chief] Cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues [to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. 22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Security in Christ
“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”
2 Samuel 22:33
Security lies in Christ. Therefore, since we have Christ within, let’s make sure insecurity never crosses our minds again.

When the Lord is your refuge
“Because you have made the Lord your
refuge, and the most High your dwelling place,
There shall no evil befall you, nor any
plague or calamity come near your tent.” Psalm 91:9-10
Those persons, places, or things that
make you feel safe and secure fail in comparison to the safety and security of our good Lord!!

A message on Fear from Pastor Pete Vossler of Crosswinds Church Reno Nevada
This is a great Facebook post that I wanted to share:
"Fear always whispers “you’ll never be secure unless you get more.” I know that all of us have this thought many times. Our main desire is happiness, but we don’t know really what happiness looks like. Is it more money? Is it more time? Is it in the accumulation of things? How about the perfect relationship that we have made up, and looks like, in our mind? Happy people don’t follow money, or things, or relationships, they follow their God-given passion. On the outside there are people that look like they have it all: money, freedom, friends, and family, but do they have the one thing they want most-happiness? We have a tendency to look at the outward and make judgments on what we see. How do you know if you would not be horrified at the home life, alienated kids, a spouse who resented their obsession with work, and no time to kick back? Maybe you’re reading this and thinking “Yeah, but this doesn’t apply to me. In this situation I know I could be happy!” Money and things cannot buy happiness no matter what we try. The Apostle Paul explains it this way: “I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength” (Php 4: 11-13).When you peruse God’s purpose for your life; status, money, and things are only secondary. Your real status symbols are salvation, spiritual growth, a secure home, special friends, and the satisfaction of doing what God called you to do.
Be blessed in His will for you today
Pastor Pete"

Just do what God's Word says to do
“Keep
my decrees and observe my laws and you will live secure in the land…”
Leviticus 25:18-22
Why do we go in and make our lives so complicated
and stress-filled? If we would just do what God’s
Word tells us to do, our lives would be so much better off. Hmmm...maybe some changes need to be made…
do you agree?

He is at your right hand.
“… He is at my right hand that
I may not be shaken or overthrown or cast down [from my secure and happy state].” Acts 2:25 AMP
Just
like David testified in
the Bible, you, too, can confidently, truly, faithfully, and fully know
that the Lord is with you – right next to you at all times, in all
situations; life and/or death. Therefore, do not let yourself be
shaken, defeated, or cast down! You are a child of
God, and no child of His will be overcome by the enemy . Yes, it may
seem like it in the flesh , but your moment of deliverance is at hand.
So, stay peace-filled and confident, knowing that God is with you, and
with Him by your side, you can conquer any
attack of the enemy, big and small!

Dwelling in security
“…
and they of Jerusalem
shall yet again dwell and sit securely in their own place… I will
remove from the land the [false] prophets and the unclean spirit…”
Zechariah 12:6; 13:2
Thanks
be to Jesus, this verse
reflects directly to you just the same as it did to Jerusalem in the
Old Testament. Although your life may be in turmoil, don’t give up,
victory is coming, and the leader of the pack is God Almighty. Yes, as a
child of the Most High, you can relax in the
midst of any turmoil, and know that God is working; He’s removing the
enemy before you and ridding all the daunting spirits around you. The
more patient you are, the more secure God can make your life – thus,
don’t rush Him.
So,
hold on, let Him fight the
battles before you! Before you know it, peace and security will
illuminate and surround you like wildfire; and that is when you will
know, that you know, that you know, it has to be God!!

Strength, dignity, and security
"...strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future!" Proverbs 31:25
Strength, dignity, and security are attained by being a reverential, worshipful, and bold believer in our Lord and Savior. Yes, God is the only one that can give you these; all the might, power, and money you have won't even come close.
If you haven't, yet, accepted God into your heart and asked Him to be your Lord and Savior, then now would be a great time! Take a few moments and ask the Lord to come into your life, and forgive you your sins - He will - and you will become a brand new creation, in Him. Then, the Lord will take you by the hand, pouring blessing upon blessing over you, and He will cloth you with the strength, security, and dignity you need to get you through the rest of your worldly life in a way that those who've chosen to stay in the world could only hope for.

True Widsom
"But those who hearkens to me [Wisdom] shall dwell securely and in confident trust... without fear or dread of evil." Proverbs 1:33
If we have any sort of fear, dread, hurt, or evil in our thoughts, or lives, then it is time to dig deeper into God's Word, pray with the utmost sincerity, and open our eyes, ears, hearts, mind, and souls, to the Wisdom - God's Wisdom! It won't steer us wrong, and soon fear, dread, and the like, will be a thing of the past.

The hand of God
“… The hand of our God is upon all them for good who seek Him… “ Ezra 8:22
Those
of us that are continually seeking the Lord can rest assured that He is
holding us, guiding us, protecting
us, and loving us. Yes, even with all the commotion around us we can keep our peace, because we
know that we are secure in His mighty hand, carefully being carried through this crazy life of ours.
--- Hallelujah – He is so good
