Walking in the ways of the wicked

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit at the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord...whatever he does prospers."
Psalm 1: 1-3

Waste no time in evil and wicked ways (nor with evil and wicked people).  For those that do can be guaranteed these: their time is short and their steps will soon take them to the pits of darkness, death, and destruction.

Therefore, delight yourself in God, and as the Word of God says, (in a nutshell), 'blessed is the man who delights himself in God for whatever he does - in goodness - prospers'.

Be careful, be very careful, to obey God

"But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you; to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul."
Joshua 22:5

If all else, one thing to keep constant in your life and never lose focus - God; obey him and his blessed laws and commands.  For if you do you will be victorious for all of your life, in all your endeavors, and favored highly wherever you go.

FOCUS AND LISTEN

TO FOCUS ON AND LISTEN TO GOD CALLS FOR ONE TO IGNORE THE WAYS AND WORDS  OF THE WORLD AND TO FOCUS, LISTEN, AND FOLLOW THE WAYS AND WORDS OF GOD.

A sure way to success.

"Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways." Proverbs 4:26

Success is yours when you consistently pray about, plan for, and remain grounded (steadfast) in obtaining your God-given goals and dreams.

This is the real exam

“Let us test and examine our ways, and let us return to the Lord.” Lamentations 3:40

I’ve given myself a challenge, and I ask you to join me.  Since most of us are quick to examine (judge) the ways of others, let’s do the same with ourselves.

The challenge is:
At the very moment we begin to examine someone else’s behavior, morals, actions, beliefs, etc., STOP, and turn the examination in on ourselves first
Examining (judging) others is not up to us - God is the final Judge, the one and only true Judge.

So, from here on out stay away from the pulpit and find better (more loving) things to do with your time… I know I am going to and I hope you will join me.

Let your light shine

“Listen carefully: Don’t stay stuck in your ways!...
Let your lives glow bright before God…”
Jeremiah 13:15-17 MSG

God’s trying to change you; He is trying to change you for his glory and to receive his promises so you can live the great life he wants you to live.  He is trying to give you a life that glows ever-so-brightly in this dark world.  So, stop fighting that small voice within that is telling you to change your ways and do what is right and good.  If you do, I know your results will be ones that take you to new levels of blessings – new levels of favor - new levels of God's great goodness.

For your good

“… Everything David did turned out well.  Yes, God was with him…” 1 Samuel 18:12-16 The MSG

When you love, worship, and listen to God, He’s with you and everything you do.  So, walk in His ways, (not your ways, nor the world’s ways), and everything in your life will always work out in your favor and for your good.

Repentance is key

“…unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will likewise perish and be lost eternally.” Luke 13:3,5

Repent for your sins!
Why? Because repentance brings salvation, sin brings punishment; repentance brings ease, sin brings complication; repentance is freeing, sin is imprisonment; repentance brings honor, sin brings corruption; and, most importantly, repentance is the key to eternal life, sin is the key to Hades (hell).

So, let me end by asking, Why live a dirty, complicated, unfulfilling, and dark life, when God and His Word are at your beckon call to forgive and save you from it all?
