Choose not to conform

"But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, [and]  God gave [Daniel] knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds."

When we choose to conform to God and not to man, God conforms us into miraculous beings - beings that defy the laws of human nature and science.

Wisdom and understanding are for whoever shall ask

“But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding…”

Job 32:8 NIV

No matter your shape, sex, color, creed, age, or title, God gives wisdom and understanding to any and all who will choose to ask and listen to him.

Hence, ASK! He’ll answer you and show you the way.

God gives us what we need

“To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning...”

- Daniel 1:17

God gives us what we need to grow and succeed without cost, bribe, or hear-say.

However, the world gives us what it gets paid to give us - there is always a fee for us when all is said and done.  Hence, make sure you want to pay that fee before you dive in to what the world claims to be able to give you.

Do not fret

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition continue to make your wants known to God, and His peace shall be yours. His peace, which transcends all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds.  Adapted from Philippians 4:6-7 AMPC

When worry and anxiety come into your mind, start praying, start praising, and start believing in the peace, goodness, and mercy of God.  He’s got so much – all you have to do is ask for it.

You have been handpicked ~ You have been redeemed

"... He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world... For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ...In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcoming, and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His own gracious favor, Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence)..." Ephesians 1: 4-8 AMPC

Erase any and all the things the world has told you, and fill your mind, heart, body, and soul with these verses.  Read and re-read them until they sink way down deep into your soul.  Ask God to help glorify these verses through and within you, and ask Him to reveal just how important, beautiful, successful, and amazing you truly are.  

My friend, you are redeemed, you are forgiven, you are hand picked, and you are the apple of God's eyes.  Whatever else you've been told can be removed from your mind.  How?  Focus on God, and focus on His Word.  I guarantee, the more you fill your mind with Him, the more beautiful your life becomes - inside and out.

The life-giving Spirit of God

The life-giving Spirit of God will hover over him,

the Spirit that brings wisdom and understanding,

The Spirit that gives direction and builds strength,

the Spirit that instills knowledge and Fear-of-God.

Fear-of-God

will be all his joy and delight.”

The Spirit of God lives within you; through him you have wisdom, understanding, knowledge, strength, and direction, and by living in loving-fear of Gᴼᴰ,  you have joy and delight – LIFE - that goes beyond all worldly understanding.

Courage and boldness

"... And may God also give you discernment and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you will rule in reverent obedience under God's Revelation.  That's what will make you successful, following the directions and doing the things that God commanded Moses for Israel.  Courage!  Take charge!  Don't be timid; don't hold back..."

The way to wisdom and understanding

Keep the commands of God, your God.  Practice them.  You will become wise and understanding.

Wisdom and understanding come from God, His Word, and His commands.  So, follow them!  Otherwise you may end up like many, so-called, leaders of this world – corrupt and broken.

The Holy Spirit says, Come!

"The [Holy] Spirit and the bride say, Come!  And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost." Revelation 22:17

Come to Jesus and truly know what living is all about, in this life and in life eternal with Christ Jesus.

Live your life on purpose.

"Look carefully then how you walk!  Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:15-17 AMPC

Live your life on purpose; live your life for a purpose - Live your life unto, and for God.  Living anything less will lead nowhere, leaving you spending precious time back-pedaling, trying to make all of your fruitless deeds, and wrong-doings, right.

Do nothing to grieve the Holy Spirit

Strip yourselves of your former nature, your old unrenewed self, and be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind, God-like in true righteousness and holiness.  When angry, do not sin, leave no such room or foothold for the devil; let the thief steal no more from you.  Let no foul or polluting language nor evil work nor unwholesome or worthless talk ever come out of your mouth.  Let all bitterness, indignation, wrath, rage, bad temper, resentment, slander, quarreling, contention, and the like, be banished from you.  Do nothing to grieve the Holy Spirit.  Instead, become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tender-hearted, compassion, understating, loving, and forgiving one another as God in Christ has forgiven you.

Do you understand the Word of God?

"... Do you really understand what you are reading?" Acts 8:30 AMP

Blessed are you because you take time to read and learn the Word of God!  However, do you find yourself confused, lost; not fully understanding what you are reading?  If so, don't worry, we all do!  The Bible can be confusing, especially when are minds are going a hundred miles an hour with all the issues of life.  However, understanding is yours  - all you have to do is ask.  Ask, first and foremost, the Lord, and He will give you understanding, and/or He will lead you to ask someone that does know, and can explain it to you.  God wants us to fellowship with other believers, so if you feel confused over scripture, listen to God, He'll do one of three things: explain it to you, lead you to a situation that will clarify what He is saying, or lead you to someone that you can fellowship and learn from.  

Yes, it is OK not to understand everything you read, because that's where the Spirit can really come in and personally lead you to people, signs, miracles, and understanding, which not only will bring you understanding, but will bring you one giant step closer in your relationship with Jesus.

Where there is greed, strife will surely abound

"He who is of a greedy spirit stirs up strife..." Proverbs 28:25

Greed and strife go hand in hand; you cannot have one without the other!  Take a few moments to think about your environment, your faith, and your heart - are they full of turmoil and upset, or are they peaceful, loving, and kind?  If you find that your world, and your heart, aren't full of the joy and peace you so desire, then maybe it is time to take a step back, re-arrange your mind, your priorities, and your outlook on life, and start enjoying the blessings and benefits of generosity, love, and kindness - not in a worldly way, but in a way that only God can fulfill; a way that surpasses all worldly understanding.

Wisdom

"I [Wisdom] have counsel and sound knowledge.  I have understanding, I have might and power... I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me." Proverbs 8:14,17

True, godly, Wisdom isn't a verb, She is a noun.  She is real and she is here for you! Seek her and you will find her! Wisdom has what you need to succeed in all you do and she'll generously give it to you!

So, do your part: pray, seek, listen, wait, and stay faithful and soon She will fill your life with the wisdom and understanding you need..

Every good path

"Yes, if you cry out [to God] for insight and... understanding, If you seek [God's wisdom] as for silver... then you will understand righteousness, justice, and fair dealing; yes, you will understand every good path." Proverbs 2:3,4,9

I truly believe that those of us living in confusion, fret, worry, fear, and the like, are because we are trying to figure out our problems, hopes and dreams by ourselves, which will not work! Instead, we need to be crying out to God, having faith in His perfect timing, patiently waiting for His answers, all the while, living our present states to the fullest that God has to offer. We should aim to spend our time in joy, peace, contentment, and security, knowing that in due time the wisdom and understanding we seek, for any given situation, will be revealed to us.
