Waiting for God to answer your prayers?

High above

Did you ask God first?

"... David inquired of the Lord, "Shall I pursue this raiding party?  Will I overtake them?"

"Pursue them," he answered.  "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue."

1 Samuel 30:8

When you inquire of, as well as wait on his answer, before   (emphasis on 'before') you set out on a mission, you can be guaranteed what he tells you is the truth.  Therefore, until you hear from God, stay put! If you don't, you may fall before you even begin to walk.    

Why are you waiting?

“... How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you?”

Joshua 18:3

Friend, why are you waiting?  God has your victory in front of you.  Stand up, move forward, and take hold of it.

Discipline and determination

“… Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize?  Run in such a way that you may win, run with determination and discipline…”

Discipline and determination  to win in life aren’t to be waited for, they are something to grab hold in order to win the race in which you were called.  Without them, you’ll never get pass the starting line.

The prophetic Word of God

“… The prophetic Word was confirmed to us.  You’ll do well to keep focusing on it.  It’s the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts…”

Stay focused on the Word – stay focused on the Light; hence, stay focused on God.

Visions and answers from God

“… and I will watch to see what answer He will say within me and what answer I will make [as His mouthpiece]… Though it tarry, [I] wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.” Adapted from Habakkuk 2:1,3 AMP

Ask God! Yes, ask Him for everything you need and/or want; choices you need to make, directions you want to go, or plans you should make for your future.  Yes, ask Him what He has put you here to do.  Then, be patient, be determined to hear, and remain faithful to Him in all things – your answer will come, and you will know, without a shadow of a doubt, it is His answer for you. Once He does answer your call, make sure to write it down, and put it in a safe spot; it will bring renewed joy, strength, and awe to you years down the road.  As well, it will keep you on the right path if you begin to tire out in the wait.

Friends, He has amazing feats for you to conquer, He has amazing feats for every one of us to conquer, BUT we have to be willing to wait, willing to listen, and willing to follow.  Although it be hard and tiresome at times, and we feel like we are getting nowhere, He’s working, and His timing will be more than perfect! 

 

No sleep or slumber in Christ

"He got up from prayer, went back to the disciples and found them asleep, drugged by grief. He said, “What business do you have sleeping? Get up. Pray so you won’t give in to temptation.”

There is absolutely no moment in life when we think we can put Jesus off until later, especially if we have a moment where we actually have the gall to say to ourselves, "I am so busy that I am ok to put off prayers, faith and worship, and God's Word until another time."!!  Friends, those are thoughts from Satan himself and they need to be immediately thrown out!    Therefore, no slumber in Christ!  Stay in prayer, faith and worship, and God's Word, otherwise you'll end up finding yourself at the bottom of a dark pit struggling to find the light of Christ to lead you back out.

The glass half full.

"But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will keep watch; I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me.  

Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in the darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me." Micah 7:7-8 AMP

Micah has the right kind of attitude; one that we should all partake in! There are too many people out there living in constant gloom, doom; waiting for something bad to happen, and never seeing the good in any given situation.  We, as children of God need to be different!  When we have God, we have light, we have hope, we have something to look forward to everyday.  Yes, we should find something good in every bad situation.  

Satan and our own sins bring bad situations, but God is good, and there can be no bad situation in Him.  So, whatever you've gotten yourself into, whatever someone has told you is bad, whatever confusion, frustration, negativity, or darkness comes at you - find the good!  It is there, because God is there.  God is everywhere, and He is only good!  Don't give up until you find it; and when you find it - rejoice and hold on to it!

God didn't put you here to live with a glass half empty attitude.  He put you here to live in joy, in peace, in victory, in love, in prosperity!  Right now, take a frustration in your life and find the good.  Don't leave the spot you are in until you do.  It's there!  Look for it; pray for God to show you - He will!  From there, take that piece of good and run forward!  Hold on to it, (no matter how small it is), and don't let it go!  I'll put my life on the fact that if you do grab hold of the good, it will multiply and overpower the negative.  Try it!  Everyday - try it.  No, actually, don't try it - DO IT!  Your life will begin to turn to light, your tears will begin to dry up, and your wounds will begin to heal.  

You are a child of God.  You are called to be the kind of person with a glass half full attitude.  So, take that call!  Be different from the norm, and see if the environment, mentallity, and world you live in doesn't change for the better!  Blessings will begin to rain down, hope will fill you, and life will be something you want to embrace to the fullest, because you know, that you know, that you know, God has gazzillion of miracles just for you!  All you have to do is look with your heart for them.

Praise God! Hallelujah!

Time, energy, and effort.

“Then he said, “How can I picture God’s kingdom for you?... It’s like a pine nut that a man plants… It grows into a huge pine tree with thick branches, and eagles build nests in it… It’s like yeast that a woman works into enough dough… and waits while the dough rises.”  Luke 13:18-21

The way to god takes lots of time, energy, and effort; if you truly want him to be the center and head of your life, then you must dig in and do the work through prayer, reading, devotion, listening, waiting, learning from other believers, and putting actions behind your faith.

So, can you handle it?  I hope so because, guaranteed, you’ll be so glad you did!!

Ultimate strength comes from relying on and believing in God - patience for him leads to perfection in the highest.  So, pray, seek, and believe, and know that God is walking ahead of you, clearing the path of perfection for you to follow.

When it comes to God, never stop waiting and never, ever, stop hoping.  God is working and soon your prayers will be answered, miracles will happen, and the darkness will be turned to light.  Don't fear, God is with you, and at the most perfect time his glory will come shining through !!😇

God is there

1 Kings 19:11-12The Message (MSG)

^11-12 Then he was told, “Go, stand on the mountain at attention before God. God will pass by.”

A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before God, but God wasn’t to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but God wasn’t in the earthquake; and after the earthquake fire, but God wasn’t in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.

Many times we will see and hear God through the big storms and miracles of life.  However, most of the time we can only hear him when we stand quietly and wait for him.  So, take time every day to be quiet before God.  No,  you may not hear him every time, but you will feel him in your presence.  As well, if you look closely, you will find him everywhere you are.

So, look around – God is there; listen – God is speaking; stand still – God is holding you.

In the same way, how long before you, child of God, stand up and move forward with the plan that God has placed in your heart?  It is time, God is with you, and whatever you need to follow the dreams God has given you, He will provide.  This is your time, this is your God-given life, so start to live and enjoy the great blessings He has stored up just for you!

Are you lost, confused, broken, downtrodden, hurt…defeated?  Well, hang tight, be still, call on and wait for the Lord, because He is on His way! Yes, He is coming; these are the moments He earnestly waits for – for the moments when His children to cry out to Him. So, open your eyes, ears, heart, mind, body, and soul because your answers, healings – miracles - are coming and God is the One bringing them.
