Get filled - Get GOD

Embrace the darkness

“When I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me.”

Micah 7:8

Darkness is our opportunity to see the Light of Christ shine through.  Therefore, embrace the darkness, pain, and fear, because the bright light of Jesus is about to burst into your life!

The glass half full.

"But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will keep watch; I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me.  

Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in the darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me." Micah 7:7-8 AMP

Micah has the right kind of attitude; one that we should all partake in! There are too many people out there living in constant gloom, doom; waiting for something bad to happen, and never seeing the good in any given situation.  We, as children of God need to be different!  When we have God, we have light, we have hope, we have something to look forward to everyday.  Yes, we should find something good in every bad situation.  

Satan and our own sins bring bad situations, but God is good, and there can be no bad situation in Him.  So, whatever you've gotten yourself into, whatever someone has told you is bad, whatever confusion, frustration, negativity, or darkness comes at you - find the good!  It is there, because God is there.  God is everywhere, and He is only good!  Don't give up until you find it; and when you find it - rejoice and hold on to it!

God didn't put you here to live with a glass half empty attitude.  He put you here to live in joy, in peace, in victory, in love, in prosperity!  Right now, take a frustration in your life and find the good.  Don't leave the spot you are in until you do.  It's there!  Look for it; pray for God to show you - He will!  From there, take that piece of good and run forward!  Hold on to it, (no matter how small it is), and don't let it go!  I'll put my life on the fact that if you do grab hold of the good, it will multiply and overpower the negative.  Try it!  Everyday - try it.  No, actually, don't try it - DO IT!  Your life will begin to turn to light, your tears will begin to dry up, and your wounds will begin to heal.  

You are a child of God.  You are called to be the kind of person with a glass half full attitude.  So, take that call!  Be different from the norm, and see if the environment, mentallity, and world you live in doesn't change for the better!  Blessings will begin to rain down, hope will fill you, and life will be something you want to embrace to the fullest, because you know, that you know, that you know, God has gazzillion of miracles just for you!  All you have to do is look with your heart for them.

Praise God! Hallelujah!

But God's already made it plain how to live...

"But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don't take yourself too seriously - take God seriously." Micah 6:8 MSG

God makes it pretty simple on how we should live, so why do we, in the flesh, make it so hard sometimes?  Well, we are human, and we are far from perfect, and, at least those of us that really are working on pleasing God are getting more and more perfected everyday, so we are on the right path.  As well  thank goodness we have a savior, Jesus Christ, to perfect himself through our flaws and weaknesses!

So, although we are far from perfect, let's keep on striving to win the race in front of us - God's race. And, (my favorite part of this whole verse today), let's not take ourselves too seriously, for we are human and we really don't have a clue most of the time. Instead, let's take God seriously, I think we'll be a lot better off in our present and future if we do😁!

What's been lost, will be given back by God

"... What you lost in Jerusalem will be found in Babylon.

God will give you new life again.

He'll redeem you from your enemies..."

He will:

 "...remake you into a people invincible..."

Micah 4:9-10, 13 MSG

In other words what you lost when you lived in the world, (in sin, in darkness, without God as your leader), will be found, again, once you turn back to God, (give your life to him, surrender your sins, repent, make him the leader of your life).  However, this time you will get back all that you've lost and then some; you will get back and there'll be no man that can take away from you ever again.

Yes, you may be down and out now, but it isn't over my friend, it is time to stop trying to take what was lost by your might and surrender it all to God.  Let him take the lead!  

Now, get ready - your life is going to be so blessed, so strong... so filled with strength and light!

Iron and bronze

“Now many nations are assembled against you… but they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither do they understand His plan…For [He] will make your horn iron and… your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many [enemies]…” Adapted from Micah 4:11-13

Although it seems that everything, and everyone, in your life may be coming against you right now, even though you feel like you are doing what God is telling you to do, even though you’ve repented for your wrongs and have done all you can do to turn your life around for the better, but nothing is changing, well, … HOLD ON!!  God has a plan! His thoughts aren’t our thoughts, and His ways aren’t our ways.  He is strengthening and forming you, fine tuning the rough edges, and it is only a matter of time before you break through the darkness – before you conquer your enemies, (mental and physical)! Yes, the awe and wonder of His miracles are going to explode in your life, and when you look back at what you’ve been through, you’ll be thanking Him for the new person He’s created you to be.

So, don’t give up! Don’t give in! Don’t let go! Don’t be afraid!  Because, God is on your side!!

Power, justice, and might!

“But truly I [Micah] am full of power, of the Spirit of the Lord, and of justice and might…” Micah 3:8 AMP

Replace the word, Micah, with your name.  Now, re-read the verse over and over until it sinks deep within your soul!  You, yes you, are full of power, because you are filled with the Spirit.  Along with power, you are also filled with justice and might!  Therefore, don’t idly stand by being sheepish and skittish in this life.  Be bold! Be daring! Be an advocate for Christ, and let no man, beast, or burden ever intimidate you to the point of backing down.  Friend, you are blessed, you are God’s child, and you have the power to change the world you live in simply by knowing and believing that you are God’s shining star - you have His power, you have His justice, and you have His might.

Whether you believe it or not, others are watching, others want what you have, and others are giving their lives to Christ because of the life you live in front of them.  So, start each day with God-given energy, and don’t ever underestimate the power He’s blessed you with!  You shine my friend, and once you realize that, you will begin to realize the lives you are changing every day.
