Rewards come from God

"The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness..."

1 Samuel 26:23

When you walk in, follow, and pursue righteousness and faithfulness, the rewards from God will be many; full of Life and filled with Light. 

Now then...

"Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes."

1 Samuel 12:16

This is your day! Every day is your day! However, you will never realize it until you stop trying to control your own life.  It is time to step back, take a deep breath - STAND STILL - and let God take over, step back and watch as great things begin to happen in your life.  Yes, when you give God the reigns over your life, your life overflows with his goodness, glory, and great things for you.  

Now then, my friend, STAND STILL.

Pride and wickedness will be silenced in due time

"Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows... the wicked will be silenced in darkness."

1 Samuel 2:3,9

Words: Keep them filled with light, keep them filled with life - keep them precious and few.  For, if words are continually spoken in arrogance, darkness, death, pride, and wickedness, then those words will soon be heard no more... God will make sure of it.

What God tells you to do: listen and do.

"Did I not tell tell the messengers you sent to me, "Even if Balak gave me his palace filled with silver and gold, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord - and I must say only what the Lord says?"

Numbers 24:13

No matter how enticing the offer may be, no matter how desperately you long to have what is being given, if the Lord has told you not to accept, then you mustn't accept.  Yes, it seems so hard to say 'no' at the moment, but God has a plan - trust him!  

Therefore, with all might, courage, and confidence, say, 'no thank you', turn and walk away.

The glory of the Lord

“...and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”

Exodus 40:35

Wherever Christians gather to worship the Lord, his glory will fill it.

Is life dark and dreary?

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes…”

Ezekiel 36:26-27

Does your life seem filled with darkness, dreariness, and the like? If so, then maybe a heart transplant is necessary! It is time to replace your heart with the heart of God’s, as it will definitely make you see your life through a whole new set of eyes which will be able to see brightness, victory, love, beauty...
 all the treasures of God’s glory.

This verse really touched my heart today.  So, in Jesus name, I would like to pray these words over you and to you:

“Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!”

The eyes are gateways to your soul

The eye is the lamp of the body.  So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light.  But if your eye is unsound, your whole body will be full of darkness…” Matthew 6:22 AMP

Whatever you hold on the inside of you is seeped out through your eyes.  What you think you are hiding, you aren’t – it all comes out.  So, make sure that you fill yourself, and let yourself be filled, with lots of light: love, goodness, kindness, gentleness, humility, self-control, patience… If you are hoarding darkness within, take steps to get it out.  Open up, admit your darkness’s, hurts, sins, and the like, and let the powerful healing of Christ fill you.  Then, as you abandon the darkness, and grasp on to the light, your eyes will show it; you will become a light in a dark place, a positive in a negative situation, a miracle for a lost soul, and a shining star for Christ himself – to which, my friend, you will be blessed, you will be a blessing, and your life will be a shining testimony for those lost in darkness of this world.

The Living Water

“But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more…” John 4:14 AMP

Thirsty?  Thirsty for changes that need to be made in your life; changes that need to be made in your heart and soul; changes for something different, something better?  If so, then it is time to take a drink of the real Water; it is time to make whatever changes necessary so you can dive into the Word of God, letting His Spirit jump out of the pages and into your heart, into your mind, into your body and soul.  Let Him change your world for the better – He will, He wants to! Yes, my friend, Jesus will enlighten your soul, ease your mind, quench your thirsts, and heal your heart.

So, are you in?  Are you ready for something better?  Then, give your life over to Jesus and let Him fill you with Water in which you will never, not ever, have to thirst again.

 

Oh, I'll make them strong, God-Strong!

"But my people - Oh, I'll make them strong, God-Strong!"

Zechariah 10:6-12 MSG

When you are God-Strong, (filled and consumed with the Spirit), you are, and always will be, living in victory!

When you are world-strong, (filled and consumed by the world),  you are, and always will be, striving for victory that you will never obtain, (not for very long anyway).

Therefore, live in God, and God alone; live in victory and abundance all the days of your life!

Take a good, hard look at you life

Haggai 1:5-9 MSG

"5 And then a little later, God-of-the-Angel-Armies spoke out again:
"Take a good, hard look at your life.Think it over.
6 You have spent a lot of money,but you haven't much to show for it.You keep filling your plates,but you never get filled up.You keep drinking and drinking and drinking,but you're always thirsty.You put on layer after layer of clothes,but you can't get warm.And the people who work for you,what are they getting out of it?Not much—a leaky, rusted-out bucket, that's what.
7 That's why God-of-the-Angel-Armies said:
"Take a good, hard look at your life.Think it over."

8 Then God said:
"Here's what I want you to do:Climb into the hills and cut some timber.Bring it down and rebuild the Temple.Do it just for me. Honor me."

Thanks be to Jesus, you are now God's precious Temple.  Therefore, if you find your life seems to be going no where, then it is time to tear down the old wood, so-to-speak, and rebuild!  It is time to start fresh with God!  It is time to start over, start anew - start afresh. 

So... just do it!  Don't worry - God is always with you.

Acknowledge your sin

Psalm 32:5 New International Version

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD." And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Call out to God, repent for your sins, and let God clean and clear the slate of your life.  Your life will refresh, your burdens will lighten, and your heart will be free to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Just as God commands

When you do what God tells you to do, the way He tells you to do it, and how He tells you to do it, you can rest assured that His glory will fill your work and fill it for many in the world to see.

 

Shake the dust off - move on

“… But [the apostles] shook off the dust from their feet against them… And… were continually filled [throughout their souls] with joy and the Holy Spirit.” Acts 14:51-52 AMP

If you find yourself constantly trying to prove yourself to someone, then maybe it’s time to let it go and focus on just being you; move on!  Sadly, some people will never be happy no matter what you do for them, so stay focused on your life and doing your best, and let God take over and do the rest.
