Battle? What battle?

Number one prescription for anxiety and worry

Worshipping the Lord comes first.

"Early the next morning they arose and worshipped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah..."

1 Samuel 1:9

Before anything else, before you begin your day, spending time with the Lord is a must.  For if you don't, if you choose not to, you will find your life falling into chaos, despair, fear, and worry.  Therefore, take an extra few minutes out of your every day and spend it with God; take the extra few minutes out of your everyday and find out that life is really beautiful, dreams really do come true, and mountains do move when you speak words of power (words of God) to them.

Make a decision and stick with it

“...How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” 

1 Kings 18:21

It’s time to make a choice and stick with it.  Yes, someone will not like your choice, and not everyone in your life will be happy with your decision.  However, if it is the choice that God is putting in your heart, then make it.  Stop worrying about others, start focusing on God, do what’s right in your heart, and move forward.  The whole wavering part of life takes too much life out of life - totally not worth it. 

 So jump in with both feet, use God as your fins and swim baby!

Embrace the darkness

“When I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me.”

Micah 7:8

Darkness is our opportunity to see the Light of Christ shine through.  Therefore, embrace the darkness, pain, and fear, because the bright light of Jesus is about to burst into your life!

Peace which transcends all understanding

“Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything.  With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.  Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand.  And this peace will control the way you think and feel.”

Philippians 4:6-7 CEV

I know that the challenges in our lives can get so overwhelming at times, and in this world, there are always so many.   But, remember, God is not of this world!  So although our challenges are tough, they are nothing for God – He is much, much tougher.  Therefore, cast all your challenges, doubts, worries, hurts, hang-ups, et., unto him and let his peace which transcends all understanding guard your heart and mind!

One day at a time

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself…”

To worry is to waste life trying to control things that are beyond your control.

To trust is to live life and let God handle everything.

Live life!  Let God control everything!

Who owns you? God or Satan?

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”

Is God controlling me or are my worries controlling me?  

Does God own me or does Satan own me?

Make up your mind not to worry

But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.  For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.”

Luke 21:14-15

When you have God within, and around, you (through faith, belief, and prayer), you can spend all your time living to the fullest that the God-life has to offer.  On the other hand, if you choose to live without God, then you have the unblessed assurance of living a God-less life in darkness, dreariness, and doom.

Pretty simple:

Grab on to God and never let him go.

Let them talk all they want

Let them talk all they want, and not to worry, they won’t get away with it.  Their fate will soon reign down upon them and destroy their wayward lies and deceits:

“… They’ll say anything, anything, that sounds good to exploit you.  They won’t, of course, get by with it.  They’ll come to a bad end, for God has never just stood by and let that kind of thing go on.”

Worry gets no one anywhere

“… People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves.  Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.”

Worry is the same as insanity – it causes the mind to frantically do one-legged sprints around and around a mountain without realizing we have another leg to help, as well as keeping us blinded to the fact that there is a freeway running right through it.

Instead of worrying, pray!

6-7 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Need a break?

"... But God is a safe hiding place,

Need to get out, hide, run, scream... need a break? Well, run!  Run as fast as you can into the arms of God.  Hide out in him.  Let him take over.  You just breath, unwind, relax, rest, recover, and let go.  

Now, let God take over.  No more need for you to worry.  God is in complete control - you have nothing, or no one, to fear.

Go about your business without fret or worry

“And you? Go about your business without fretting or worrying.  Relax.  When it’s all over, you will be on your feet to receive your reward.” Daniel 12:13 AMP

When there is chaos everywhere around you, and times of testing happening within you, take time to reflect on this verse.  What God said to Daniel, is exactly what He is saying to you: let fret and worry go by the wayside, and know that as God’s fearfully and wonderfully made child, your reward is coming.

Perfect peace is found only in God.  So, if you want relief from your worries and anxieties, (and absolutely anything else that puts darkness in your heart), then the only sure way to find relief is to run to God, grab hold of him and never, ever, let him go!!

God searches the heart

How are you living right now?  Frustrated, upset, worried, guilty, unhappy, disgusted?  Or, are you peaceful, calm, joyful, loving, grounded; trusting God and faith-filled?  Well, whichever the case, check your heart, there lie the reasons that you are in the state that you currently are in.  So, if you are living in the former, (frustrated, worried, etc.), then the heart is where changes need to be made - God needs to become your focus.  If you are living in the latter, then keep that heart of yours guarded and secured; continue to keep your heart rooted in God - rooted in love.

There is a place for worry in our lives and it’s one worry only:  to worry over the ᴸᴼᴿᴰ.  Everything else is a waste of our time!  So, turn everyday worries over to God, and focus on God and his light.  I believe that if we do every aspect of our lives will change for the better; every aspect of our lives will change for God’s great glory!

No doubt about it! God is good!
