Make up your mind not to worry

But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.  For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.”

When you have God within, and around, you (through faith, belief, and prayer), you can spend all your time living to the fullest that the God-life has to offer.  On the other hand, if you choose to live without God, then you have the unblessed assurance of living a God-less life in darkness, dreariness, and doom.

Pretty simple:

Grab on to God and never let him go.

Dead-ends and dark alleys.

”God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons.  He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.”

In Christ there is no darkness, no dead-ends, no dark alleys, no dungeons.  No, there is light, help, healing, joy, completeness, favor and fearlessness.  Therefore if you are seeing darkness, then somewhere along the way you lost sight of God - it’s time to turn and run to him in humility, with all fervor and haste. Open your heart to him and he will open his arms to you.  He is with you and waiting patiently for you to find him - seek him and you will see him; seek him and you will find him.

United with the Messiah

“… anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new.  The old life is gone, a new life burgeons!...”

Life is too short to live in darkness, to live in doom because of your past and/or present mistakes.  Therefore, seek God for a new life and a fresh start.  Let him put the darkness in your life behind you.  Let him make you anew, make you whole and fill you with his light!  You are his precious child, and you are called for mighty works and greatness… grasp hold and go for it!!

God will banish death forever.

"Yes, he'll banish death forever.
     He'll remove every sign of disgrace
From his people, wherever they are.
     Yes! God says so!"
Isaiah 25:6-8 MSG

Death has been banished! You are alive in God, you are strong in God, you are free in God, you are loved in God...  you are God's precious child.  So, as God's child, stand up, put doom and gloom under your feet, and start living in the light.  It is time to open your eyes, stop wasting time on darkness, defeat - death - and start living like you have been anointed to live.  Life is good!  But you, my friend, must move forward, believe in God's glory, and start living like it.

Life is good because God is great!

Taking God seriously.

“… Because you took seriously the doom of judgment I spoke against this place and people, and because you responded in humble repentance… I am taking your seriously.  God’s word.  I’ll take care of you…” 2 Chronicles 34:26-28, MSG

The moment you are ready to open your life to God and close it to the world, he hears you and he sees you, and, in the blink of an eye he wraps you in his arms and carries you to a new life filled with his amazing glory.

When evil comes

But in that day when Gog (evil) shall come against the land of Israel (God’s children), My wrath shall come into my nostrils, and I will call for a sword against Gog (evil), says the Lord.  I will be recognized, understood, and known!  (Evil) shall know (at that very moment) that I am the Lord (and their doom has come).
