You will prosper when...

Kick the dust off your feet and go for it.

Put the dead-life behind you

Leave everything that doesn’t produce fruit in your life, (or everything that doesn’t produce life in your life), and follow Jesus - leave everything and follow your heart. Hence, leave the bad and follow the good – follow Jesus.

Stop looking at the what-if’s and look at the Will-Do instead.  Go for it and don’t look back.

Travel the road in which you are called

“... I want you to get out there and walk - better yet, run! - on the road God called you travel...”

-Ephesians 4:1-3 MSG

Are you running on the right road?  Do you see the light ahead?  If not, turn back - ASAP - look up to God and ask him which way to go.  Once you do, He will turn on the street lights of Heaven on for you to see ahead, and the red lights of Hell will begin to diminish in your rearview mirror.

United with the Messiah

Life is too short to live in darkness, to live in doom because of your past and/or present mistakes.  Therefore, seek God for a new life and a fresh start.  Let him put the darkness in your life behind you.  Let him make you anew, make you whole and fill you with his light!  You are his precious child, and you are called for mighty works and greatness… grasp hold and go for it!!

Good times ahead

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.

If we can realize that our hard times are all part of God's plans for us -blessings in disguise and all of them worth every second - then life will be a lot less complicated and stressful, and hard times are all they are - simply, hard times.  For when we hold steadfast in Christ hard times are not a big deal because we know they lead to some God-blessed, amazing, good times ahead.

Forget the past - it's over and done with

“Let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back…” Hebrews 12:1 (LB)

“Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead…” Philippians 3:13 (NLT)

As we can read, the Word of God clearly wants us to put the past behind us and move forward with our lives.  Therefore, if you are, in any way, stuck (frustrated, hurt, angry, depressed, dark, lonely, rejected, hopeless, discouraged, etc.,) then heeding the verses above is of the utmost importance!  The past, whether good or bad, can be looked at as stepping stones, learning curves, and blessing builders for a great future ahead.  So, although it may be difficult at first, change your mind and focus toward your future and know that the past happened just as it was supposed to happen; for if you wouldn’t have experienced what you did, you wouldn’t have the necessary experience to become the great person of God that you were called to be. 

My friend, God loves you and he has a great plan allotted just for you.

Forget what lies behind.

"I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead."

Like Paul, let's stop focusing on our past pitfalls, mistakes, sins, and darknesses.  Instead, let us focus ahead - God's gifts are awaiting; set aside for His children.  So, keep moving forward no matter how bad your past.  I guarantee, you take one step and God will carry you two more!  Soon, the darknesses of your past will be so far behind you that you'll never look back...there isn't anything to see anyway.

Visions and answers from God

“… and I will watch to see what answer He will say within me and what answer I will make [as His mouthpiece]… Though it tarry, [I] wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.” Adapted from Habakkuk 2:1,3 AMP

Ask God! Yes, ask Him for everything you need and/or want; choices you need to make, directions you want to go, or plans you should make for your future.  Yes, ask Him what He has put you here to do.  Then, be patient, be determined to hear, and remain faithful to Him in all things – your answer will come, and you will know, without a shadow of a doubt, it is His answer for you. Once He does answer your call, make sure to write it down, and put it in a safe spot; it will bring renewed joy, strength, and awe to you years down the road.  As well, it will keep you on the right path if you begin to tire out in the wait.

Friends, He has amazing feats for you to conquer, He has amazing feats for every one of us to conquer, BUT we have to be willing to wait, willing to listen, and willing to follow.  Although it be hard and tiresome at times, and we feel like we are getting nowhere, He’s working, and His timing will be more than perfect! 

 

He will never leave you

"... for even though I sent them off into exile, I will gather them back to their own land, leave not one soul behind... I'll no longer turn away... Decree of God, the Master."  Ezekiel 39:25-29 MSG

Whether you believe it or not, God is with you always.  He will never again leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).  So whatever you are going through now, no matter how alone you feel, God is with you fully.  And know this: all of God's children hurts, trials, and tribulations turn out for His glory - no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!  Keep the faith - Trust God.

Today is a new day, rejoice and be glad.  Yesterday is over – forget it, let it go: start anew, make amends, right your wrongs, look forward to the great future God has for you, and live for today… live for right now.  Yes, enjoy every moment, for you are in Christ, and with him, joy is possible all of the time.  God loves you and it is for his glory that you bear much fruit (John 15:8).  So put your head up and run the race set before you (Hebrews 12:1), not behind you.  You are God’s child!  You are blessed!

God is part of it all

Whatever has happened, will happen, and is happening, are all part of God’s great plans for your life.  Whether it seem good or bad, big or small, God is involved; God has reasons for everything, and when you His child, all of His reasons work out in greatness.

So, stand tall and know that your life is absolutely amazing – God wouldn’t let you have anything less.

 

Don't look back

“… No one who puts his hand to the plow, and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 AMP

When you make a decision – big or little – then move forward and don’t look back.  I know, easier said than done, but it is a must when we want to move forward in God’s good plans for our lives.

Remember, looking forward brings endless possibilities, but looking back brings nothing but, what if’s, which only cause unnecessary internal stress and anxiety.

So, stay focused on God, and His plans for your life.  Shake the pains from the past off of your feet, and go live out the amazing life God has just for you.

 

New ground

"...Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, to inquire for and of Him, and to require His favor, till He comes and teaches you righteousness and reins His righteous gift of salvation upon you." Hosea 10:12 AMP

So, you keep trying, and doing, the same ol' thing and still getting the same result?  Still not producing any good fruit no matter how hard you try?  Well, then it is time to do it God's way!  Whatever parts of your life aren't working, have never worked, and aren't producing any good, God-type, fruit, (joy, peace, patience, gentleness, self-control, humility, and love), then it's time to leave them behind; it is time for some new stomping ground.  So, get your priorities in order, making God the first of those priorities, and step out of your old-self into your new-self.  No, it won't be easy - change never is - but with diligence, and perseverance, your thought processes and actions will begin to change; new fruit will bloom, and the salvation of God will pour over you.  

Life is too short to keep producing barren leaves, so we need to live it to the fullest!  Therefore, grasp on to the new, grasp on to God for dear life, and let Him wash the blessings of life over you... He's been ever-so patiently waiting to do so, my friend.

What LOVE can do

“…but You have loved my life back from the pit of corruption and nothingness, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back.” Isaiah 38:17

Oh, the amazing power of love.  Love lifts the lowest of spirits, heals a broken heart, mends a severed friendship, and brings enemies together as friends.  Yes - love forgives, overlooks, encourages, helps, gives hope, and warms a cold soul.

My friends, God is love, God made love, God works in love; you ARE so loved by Him, and He accepts you just the way you are.  Ask Him into your heart, and if have already accepted Him, ask Him to awaken a weary soul – He’s waiting!  The very moment that you do, all of your sins, the darkness within you, and the hurt you’ve caused, are forgiven, behind you; you are redeemed; you are renewed; and most of all, you are His – His to pour blessings upon, surround with miracles, and give a life worth meaning to. God knows no bounds, never leaves, favors no one, and is with you always.

  So, give him your love and He, in turn, will give you LOVE that cannot be explained, duplicated conquered, or destroyed; He will give you Him and the meaning of life will truly begin to shine before you.
