Do not be angry with yourselves

"And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you."

Genesis 45:5

If you've ever done evil to another and you still get sick to your stomach with guilt over the thought of it, do not worry.  For, although you meant to harm that person at that time, God had a plan all along.  He knew what was going to happen before it happened, and he knew what you were going to do before you did it; God, had the blessing awaiting the outcome of the whole situation, a blessing that you may never know, but a tremendous blessing all the same.  

Therefore, now is the time to forgive yourself, repent, stand up tall, focus on Christ, and move forward with your life.  It's all going to be OK, God knows your heart and for the guilt and repentance you feel - he will bless you for it.  Remember, everything works out for good to those who rely on Christ :-).

You have the treasure

“It’s all right… don’t be afraid.  Your God, the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks…”

Genesis 43:23

God has given you the treasure, however, you must be willing to put the effort in of seeking it.

Anything worthwhile in our lives

“I cannot do it, Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he deserves.”

Genesis 41:16

We cannot do anything worthwhile in our lives without God – period!!

Us, without God, equals fruitlessness; us, with God, equals fruitfulness.

So, seek God for everything and he will do for you all that you desire – and even better than you could ever think!!

You will prosper when...

“The Lord was with Joseph and he prospered… the Lord gave him success in everything he did…”

Genesis 39:2-3

My friend the Lord is with you – do not fear the unknown because God has the victory with your name written all over it. 

Kick the dust off your feet and go for it.

“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.”

The dreamer

" "Here comes that dreamer!" they said to each other."

Genesis 37:19

Let them talk all they want!  They say you are a dreamer, but you know you are a child of God and it is him that places those dreams in your heart.  

Follow your dreams - they are God's plan for your life.

Change is here

"...Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes."

Genesis 35:2

It's time!  If life is unfruitful for you and you've been doing nothing but running in the same circle only to become more unhappy and un-fruitful, then change is due.  Step out, grab Jesus, start fresh, and begin again.  It is never too late, you are never too old, and life is always too short not to.  Go for it!  God's got your new beginning waiting for you.

The Present

“Please accept the present that was brought to you…”

Genesis 33:11

Some of us are either too fearful, too proud, or too un-trustful to grab the miracle right in front of our eyes.  We think it is too good to be true, that something is going to go wrong, or it is the wrong thing to do, when, in fact, we know in our hearts it is what we are meant to grasp onto.   Friends, let’s stop living like this!  It’s pathetic and I believe we are wasting away so many opportunities that God wants us to step into.    As well, if it is something that your heart tells you to go for, then go for it.  For even if it isn’t from God, if your decision is based on your believing heart, he will see to it that it turns into the miracle you were hoping for.  

God does so much for us when he knows that are decisions are made from what we feel he is placing in our hearts.  So, take a chance and step out in faith.  From there, God will carry you the rest of the way.

God is Walking with us every step of the way

God, I am afraid! But you have said, I will surely make you prosper, and I will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.”

Afraid to step out into the unknown?  Don’t be! For if it is a step that you feel God pulling you to make, then he will be there to walk with you every step of the way.

God is our witness

”...God is the witness between you and me.”

Genesis 31:50

If God is our witness, then let’s make sure he’s witnessing doing right by him in all things and in all ways.

Friends, always keep this knowledge in the forefront of your mind:

God sees everything, hears everything, knows everything... period!!

Worldly rationale

“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go… I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Genesis 28:15

When our hearts belong to Christ, then no matter which directions and choices we choose to step out in, (as long as they are steps of faith), He will be with us!  Friends, God will not leave us - our steps of faith will be blessed beyond all worldly rationale.

You will be blessed - have no fear

“I am the God of your father Abraham.  Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you…

They answered, “We saw clearly that the Lord was with you…”

Genesis 26:24, 28

Fear not when you step out into the land of the unknown, God is with you and strangers will flock to you because they want the gifts and blessings that they can see already given to you by God.  You shine with his glory my friend.

Again, do not fear, you are about to be thrust to a whole new level – thanks be to God ~ Hallelujah.

Prayers work

"Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife because she was barren.  The Lord answered his prayer and his wife Rebekah became pregnant."

Genesis 25:21

When you pray for others, when others pray for you, prayers get answered!

The moment you begin to pray

"Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder."

The moment you begin to pray and before you can finish your prayer, God starts working in your life!  Friends, your prayers are heard before you can even finish speaking them!

No prayer request is too hard for God

"Is anything too hard for the Lord?..."

Answer:  

Absolutely not; NEVER, NO-WAY, NO-HOW!

So ask big, pray boldly, believe for the unbelievable, and receive the miraculous!  

God speaks to us in many different ways

“… the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision…”

Genesis 15:1

 God speaks to us in many different ways, so we must keep our hearts and minds open always and to all of the ways God speaks.  We must stay open to the God-possibilities, think outside the world's box, and remember that God is here, speaking into each and every one of us in each and every one of our unique, individualized ways.

It's all yours

“Lift your eyes from where you are and look north, south, east, and west.  All the land that you see I will give you and your offspring forever…  Go and walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

Genesis 13:14-17

God’s Word is the same now as it was from the beginning; God’s Word is the same for you and me just as it was for Abraham.  Therefore, you and I have the same promises from God that Abraham had.  So look up, look down, look left, right, north, south, east, west… it is all yours from God.  Get up, get out, and go for it!

And remember, this promise is not only true for you but true for your offspring too.  Hallelujah.
