CHOICES, CHOICES, CHOICES

"If it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Joshua 24:15 KJV

Write down the top five indecision's in your life.  After doing so, make a decision on each one and stick to those decisions.  Make the decisions based out of your heart, out of the whisper of God's voice - the touch of his Spirit.  Even if they seem rocky, stick to them. For if you feel that the decisions are based on Christ and his leading you will succeed - God will see to it.  Yes, there may be small changes along the way, but the changes will be easy because God's burdens are always light!  Therefore, stop floundering like a fish out of water, and just do it.  My friend, life is too precious to sit around wandering back and forth with, "What-ifs". For the only, "What-if", one needs to be concerned with is, "What if Jesus comes tonight?  Will he take me with him or will he not?".

It’s time to make a choice and stick with it.

”Now then”, said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

Joshua 24:23

It is time to get serious, it is time to get real.  Either worship the gods of the world or worship the one and only true God, Christ Almighty - stop teetering between the two - make a choice! Yes, one choice equals death and one equals life, but at least you’ve made a choice and now you can move forward and experience the victories and/or defeats that your choice will bring you.

Victory over the enemies of this world

"The Lord your God himself will drive them out of your way.  He will push them out before you, and you will take possession of their land, as the Lord your God promised you. Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses without turning aside to the right or to the left... you are to hold fast to the Lord your God... God fights for you, just as he has promised.  So be very careful to love the Lord your God."

Joshua 23:5,6,8,10

Since God fights for you every moment of every day, do the same for him!  

Fight for Christ - fight for your Lord, your Savior, your Victor.  

My friend, if you don't the devil of hell will win you over and life will crumble down around you.

Be careful, be very careful, to obey God

"But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you; to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul."

Joshua 22:5

If all else, one thing to keep constant in your life and never lose focus - God; obey him and his blessed laws and commands.  For if you do you will be victorious for all of your life, in all your endeavors, and favored highly wherever you go.

Not one promise from God fails

“So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their forefathers and they took possession of it and settled there.  The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their forefathers.  Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord handed all their enemies over to them.  Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”

Joshua 21:43-45

Not one - no, not one - of God’s promises fails.  He is the same now as he was for Israelites, and his promises hold true for each and every one of us.  Therefore, don’t give up, don’t look back, fill up in faith, stay focused on The Light, and know that God has miraculous wonders and miracles stored up for you each and every day.

Why are you waiting?

“... How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you?”

Joshua 18:3

Friend, why are you waiting?  God has your victory in front of you.  Stand up, move forward, and take hold of it.

Your inheritance

“So on that day Moses swore to me, ”The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.” ”

Joshua 14:9

Do not be dismayed that you don’t come from a wealthy family because the wealth you want lies above; the wealth you want is the wealth from Christ.  So keep following him, don’t look back, and know that you are blessed and prosperous more than any multi-gazillionaire on earth.  You have it all and never, ever, will you need any more.

Pursue your enemies

"But don't stop! Pursue your enemies, attack them from the rear and don't let them reach their cities, for the Lord your God has given them into your hand." 

Joshua 10:19

Don't run from your fears, hang ups, hurts, heart-aches - enemies!  No! Instead, put all your faith in God and chase them down and face them head on.  God will give you victory; God will give you peace; God will give you confidence; God will give you power: GOD WILL.  

My friend, you are God's precious child, there is nothing you can't withstand, nothing you can't conquer.  So chin up!  Today is a new day in your life - LIVE IT and LIVE IT BOLDLY.

Words

"We have given them our oath by the Lord, the God of Israel, and we cannot touch them now... so that wrath will not fall on us for breaking the oath we swore to them."

Joshua 9:19-20

Once you give your word, keep it.  Otherwise, those words you swore but did not keep, will come back to haunt you.  

Friends, words matter - so only say the ones you will stick to.

Rise up!

”You are to rise up from the ambush and take the city.  The Lord your God will give it into your hand...” 

Joshua 8:7

It’s time to rise up and take the blessings God has set before you; it is time to stop being discouraged, fearful, intimidated, and afraid!  Child of God, stand up, take the blessings that are yours and live the amazing life God has set before you.  

No more time to waste - RISE UP and LIVE.

Until you remove the sin...

“... I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction... You cannot stand against your enemies until your remove it.”

Joshua 12, 13

Until you remove the sin, the Lord cannot exalt you into greatness; the Lord cannot give you victory over your battles (enemies).  Therefore, whatever is keeping you from God’s amazing blessings must be removed... removed immediately!

Today the chains are broken

“... “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from among you” ...”

Joshua 5:9

Today is a new day.  The old is gone, the chains are broken, the grass is green, and the light is ever-so-bright.  So open your eyes, hearts, minds, and souls, God has broken the chains of darkness from you and today begins a new day in his amazing freedom - a life which lives in his amazing glory.

One day, one moment, one split-second from God can change your whole life.

"That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life, just as they revered Moses."

Joshua 4:14

It takes one miraculous millisecond from God to change your whole life.  Therefore, whatever you may be discouraged about right now, whatever seems hopeless, whatever seems lost, whatever has you stressed to the max won't last forever.  Hang in there.  God is working, God is planning, God is getting ready to execute a miracle in your life that is going to change the course of your life forever.  Yes, keep going, keep moving, keep praying, and keep knowing: God has your moment ... get ready for the amazing my friend.

Amazing things among you

“Joshua told the people,  “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” ”

Joshua 3:5

Dedicate yourself to the Lord, your whole self - inside and out, for he not only does he have great things planned for you, but he has amazing wonders that will happen just for you and all believers in him - wonders that will leave those in the world completely shocked and amazed.

Melting in fear

"... The Lord has surely given the whole land into our hands; all the people are melting in fear because of us."

Joshua 2:24

Oh, when you are a child of God, you are mighty and powerful and the worldly enemies which surround and target you are shaken - they melt in fear the moment they see your glowing, glorious, powerful face because it blinds them with the glory of God which shines through you ever so brightly.

Strength, courage ~ Courage, strength

"Be strong and courageous... Be strong and very courageous... Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go...Only be strong courageous."

Joshua 1:6, 7, 9, 18

Courage: spirit, resolution, tenacity, mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or hardship. courage implies firmness of mind and will in the face of danger or extreme difficulty.

In regards to sin

"... You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it."

Joshua 7:13

"It" refers to 'sin', sin refers to a sure defeat.  Therefore, remove the sin(s),  get right with God, and walk in the victories he has lined up for you.

Destroy the evil from within

"... I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction." 

Joshua 7:12

Until we rid our hearts of all evil, anger, resentment, and darkness, we will not see or feel the glory of God in our lives.  Therefore, clean out and come clean.  

It's time; it's time to rid all darkness... yes, it is most definitely time!!

WITHOUT FEAR

“… because the hand of the Lord my God was on me, I took courage.”

-Ezra 7:28

Courage isn’t yours to want – courage is yours to take.  Grab hold of it and don’t let go.

Courage:

Fearlessness, bravery, boldness, audacity, grit, valor, without fear.

Mediate, ponder, and focus

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read it day and night, so that you are careful to do everything in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will may your prosperous, and then you will be successful.”

Joshua 1:8

In a nutshell, when God and His Word are your focus, prosperity and success are surely yours for the taking!
