Trapped by the words of our mouth

Trying to control your life equals losing control over your life.

Sometimes we get so full of ourselves that we lose track of Christ -  a very dangerous way to live.  Therefore, no matter how great life is going for you, always remember, it is the love and power of God that is making your life amazing and not by anything you've done on your own.  So acknowledge him and keep on acknowledging him in your miracles and mountain moving victories.  Otherwise, the control and strength you feel in yourself will only be short-lived, because trying to control your life without Christ equals losing control over life completely.

Wake up - get out of the darkness

Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ.

Wake up from your sleep,

Climb out of your coffins;

Christ will show you the light!

So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!

Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.

Jesus is right in front of you.

Jesus said, 

"Your looking right at me and you don't see me..."  John 8:19 MSG

Are you wondering where Jesus is?  Wondering why Jesus isn't showing up in your life, your circumstance, your heartache, your pain?  If so, it is very important that you ask yourself if you've not opened your eyes (your eyes of faith; the eyes of your heart; flipped on the light-switch to your soul) wide enough to see him;  because, as a child of God, without a doubt, He IS right in front of you.  

Therefore, whatever the situation you face right now, no matter how bad your circumstance may be, it is time to wipe the sleep from your eyes (the eyes of your heart and soul) and look... really look.  Jesus is right in front of you, you are staring at him, and if you will open your eyes of faith, you will see him.   The Light is right in front of you.

No sleep or slumber in Christ

"He got up from prayer, went back to the disciples and found them asleep, drugged by grief. He said, “What business do you have sleeping? Get up. Pray so you won’t give in to temptation.”

There is absolutely no moment in life when we think we can put Jesus off until later, especially if we have a moment where we actually have the gall to say to ourselves, "I am so busy that I am ok to put off prayers, faith and worship, and God's Word until another time."!!  Friends, those are thoughts from Satan himself and they need to be immediately thrown out!    Therefore, no slumber in Christ!  Stay in prayer, faith and worship, and God's Word, otherwise you'll end up finding yourself at the bottom of a dark pit struggling to find the light of Christ to lead you back out.

You never know?

"... So stay awake, alert.  You have no idea what day your Master will show up..." Matthew 24:39-44 MSG

Good reminder for us all!  We cannot, absolutely cannot, get lazy in living for Christ.  For we do not   know the hour of his arrival, but boy-oh-boy, we are sure going to want to be ready for it!  Therefore, stay focused on living for God and God alone... He's the One that we definitely don't want to miss!
