Did you ask God first?

"... David inquired of the Lord, "Shall I pursue this raiding party?  Will I overtake them?"
"Pursue them," he answered.  "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue."
1 Samuel 30:8

When you inquire of, as well as wait on his answer, before   (emphasis on 'before') you set out on a mission, you can be guaranteed what he tells you is the truth.  Therefore, until you hear from God, stay put! If you don't, you may fall before you even begin to walk.

Surprise visits

David said to Abigail, "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you to me.  May you be blessed for your good judgment and for keeping me from bloodshed this day and from avenging myself with my own hands."
1 Samuel 25:32-33

Pay attention to surprise visits - sometimes we need to heed the God-message that comes through whilst in the midst of the visit.

Moving out of your comfort zone

"Do not stay in the stronghold.  Go into the land of Judah..."
1 Samuel 22:5

Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone in order to find out your God-given strengths, abilities, and blessings, all of which will move you to a whole new level of greatness.

Listen to what people are saying to you - God may be speaking through them.

"And the Lord told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you - it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king."
1 Samuel 8:7

Listen, really listen, to the words people say to you, especially repeated words from different people, as there in their words may just lie your answers to prayers you've been seeking answers to.  As well, when you truly listen, you may just realize that you've been listening only through the ears of your worldly self - not through the ears of your heart - which just may bring you to a whole new revelation of your life.

The Lord reveals himself through his Word

"The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word."
1 Samuel 3/21

Until you take time to read and hear the Word of God, (reading with the eyes of your heart and listening with the ears of your heart), you will never experience the fullness and miraculous blessings of life.  You will miss out on the greatness of life that only God can offer.

So don't miss a moment of the great life God has for you.  Spend daily time with him in his Word - it is an absolute must for a life that is overflowing with abundance.
