Here's my version:

Be strong! Be a man or woman of God: do what God's Word says to do and listen to and follow the still, small voice of God in your heart.  Do not step aside from him, or his words; not right or left.  For if you fail him not, and follow his lead, you will succeed in everything do and everywhere you go.

There is safety in Christ

"Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts the Lord is kept safe."

Proverbs 29:25

Safety lies in Christ, not man.  Therefore, whatever fears you are having that involve men - the world - are from the world and the world's hold over you which will get you nowhere, eventually causing you to fall and having to start again.  So, reassess!  Put your trust in Jesus and just keep moving forward.  Ignore the whispers, complaints, downgrading words of the world, and press on - God is with you.  And remember the words of today's verse, "... whoever trusts the Lord is kept safe."

  

LOOK!

"But the servant replied, "Look, in this town there is a man of God; he is highly respected, and everything he says comes true.  Let's go there now.  Perhaps he will tell us what to way to take."

1 Samuel 9:6

My friend, LOOK!  Look around you; seek out the men and women of God in this world.  They are here for you; they can help you, they can speak words of life into you, they can surround you in prayer and help direct you on your way.  You are not alone - not ever - God makes sure of it.  So, begin to look around; look around with the eyes of your heart - listen with the ears of your heart.  Pay attention to everyone you come in contact with, because the answers to which you seek, the prayers you wish to be answered, and/or the directions you seek, just might be in the words of the stranger you pass by on the street.

Follow no man!  Follow only God!  

For man leads to destruction, but God leads to life everlasting.

The power of Almighty God

Oh my - when the power of God falls on you, there is no man, woman, beast, or burden that can keep you from the victory.

Our ultimate goal in life is to be able to bear all that we are for the whole world to see without an ounce of shame in doing so.  Yes, our goal in life is to rid ourselves of all sin and darkness and shine with the Light of of Christ for the whole world to see.

Time for a clean break

“Dear friends, let’s make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts us, both within and without.  Let’s make our entire lives fit and holy temples for the worship of God.” 

– 2 Corinthians 7:1 MSG

Time for some cleaning – deep and thorough – inside and out!  It is time to clean up what we are allowing in our lives; it is time to take back the control that has been given to us by God.

First, and foremost, is the inside:  Decide, right now, what you are going to allow into your heart, mind, body and spirit.  Is it going to be God or man?

As well, take control over your health, which means, take control of what you allow to be fed inside your body.  Is it beneficial to your health, or is it not?  If not, get rid of it! Period!

Secondly, the outside:  Decide who and what you are going to allow into your world.  Are you going to allow a dark world and dark people to influence your mind, or are you going to take a stand and separate yourself enough so that you do not fall into their wayward blues and blahs?

Friends, God has given us all control over the powerful forces of the darkness, so use it for yourself.  Dress, daily, with God’s armor, and never, ever, forget that God is for you, no one can stand against you, and no devil of hell can overtake you if you don’t allow it – in the name of Jesus accept it, and move forward to the victories that await you.

Thoughts run our lives

"Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life" Proverbs 4:23

Take a moment to carefully think about what, or who, has been running your life lately.  Is worry, fear, gratitude, love, anger, hatred, life, man, GOD...???   Is it time to restart, refresh, and re-think... it is time to dig back into God and His Word.  

Change starts in your thinking, therefore, first thing, everyday, open your eyes, thoughts, and prayers to God through the power of His Word and His spirit which dwells on the inside of you.  The moment you focus more on Him, the less you will focus on you, and the more your life will brighten, shine, and energize; the more your life will help impact those around you, and in turn, impacts those around them, spreading the glory of Jesus nice and brightly for all the world to share and see.

What God joins together...

“… What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Matthew 19:6 AMP

When God brings a husband and wife together in faith, unconditional love, purity, and devotion, then no forces of darkness will ever be able to separate.  How will you know when and if God has brought him/her into your life?  Trust me – you will know!!  Something like this is similar to winning the lottery … ten times over.

However, when two people come together out of lust, adultery, idolatry, bad intentions, or crude desire, then a small bump in the road will be sure to tear them apart.  How will you know if what you are doing is not from God?  Believe me – you will know!!  Something like this is similar to jumping into a sinking ship… eventually, you will sink with it.

So, if you are single, let God lead you to the perfect partner; if you are married, let God be the bond that holds you and your spouse together forever, and ever-more.

God is so good!!

 

Our God is all-powerful

“…Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool...” Isaiah 51:7-8

Mortal men come nowhere near in comparison with our great God! So, do not fear them, not even for a second!  No, instead, hand them over to God and let Him give you the power to be the victor in any unfair/cruel situation. 

Remember, our God is all-powerful; man is no competition for Him.

God or Man? Which do you choose?

“… They were afraid of getting kicked out of the meeting place.  When push came to shove the cared more for human approval than for God’s glory.”  John 12:42-43 MSG

God or Man?  Which do you choose? 

Although a hard question to answer, too many of us are guilty of backing down to man when we are fearful of losing our positions, power, favor, abundance, etc... we settle on giving in to man, and turning our backs on God.  Well, it’s due time that we stand up and stop being afraid; it is time we stand up and be the bold children of God we were born to be!  My friends, you and I are God’s children, we are made to soar, made to be great, so let's step out of the world and do so!!
