Synonyms of Haughty:

proud, arrogant, vain, conceited, snobbish, superior, self-important, pompous, condescending, patronizing... Any of these words describe you?  If so, I highly suggest to open yourself up for change.  If you don't, the bottom of another's foot will be stomping the top of your head. It won't be pretty. Sin is no longer in control

The cost of evil.

Yes, revenge and anger will flow through your mind when you come across vindictive, hurtful, hateful, lewd, wicked, or spiteful people.  However, your line of duty is to immediately pass that person, or those people, over to God; pray for them, forgive them and walk away!  

Remember, you have much better things to do and live for anyway!

Use your God-given heart and wisdom to figure it (replace it with your unique situation) out. Stop over-analyzing, all it is doing is complicating your life more than it needs to be. Plus, you’ll be filled with a lot more peace and joy if you do.

Arrogance and pride

“But then the strength and success went to his head.  Arrogant and proud he fell…” +2 Chronicles 26:16-18, MSG

Arrogance and pride:  Two characteristics guaranteed to lead one to their downfall.

Is it time to let go?

“But since they kept opposing and abusing and reviling him, he shook out his clothing [against them] and said to them, Your blood be upon your [own] heads!...” Acts 18:6 AMP

When you’ve exhausted all avenues to help another, yet they still continue to follow the wrong path, then it may be a good time to walk away and let them figure it out on their own.  Love them from afar, pray for them often, but let them go.  Remember, one way or another, they will come face to face with God, and it will be up to them on which direction they choose to proceed.

The Cornerstone

This [Jesus] is the stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone].” [Ps. 118:22] Acts 4:11 AMP

Careful of who you reject, cast down, or ignore, because, you never know, they may be the One, or the one sent by Christ, to be just what you need to survive this life of yours.

 

It is finished.

“… It is finished! And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” John 19:30 AMP

The moment Jesus died on the cross:

Sin was conquered; anguish defeated; depression lifted; anger crushed; helplessness abolished and hopelessness not found.

Yes, the moment Jesus bowed His head and gave His last breath:

Love restored; joy flourished; peace abounded; grace overflowed; and life was born.

 

What does your heart yearn for?

“But as for those whose heart yearns and goes after their detestable things and their loathsome abominations [associated with idolatry], I will repay their deeds upon their own heads, says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 11:21 AMP

So, let me ask – What does your heart yearn for?  Be honest! Do you crave the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace patience, gentleness, kindness, self-control, humility, etc., etc.,; or, does your list include things like: being rich, being a leader, having a bigger house, having a new car, winning, etc., etc., ?  Why don’t you take a few minutes and write down your heart, and include every want and desire - good, bad, and/or evil.  Don’t worry, this is between you and God alone, nobody else.

Well… what do you see? What things are you proud of, what things need worked on, and what things do you know aren’t ok by God?  Once you narrow it all down, invite God to come in and change the things that aren’t right by Him; not only ask Him to change them, but to change you, your heart, and how you view them, as well.  He will go to work the moment you call, and the transforming power of His Spirit will come alive within you, helping you change those unhealthy desires into strengths and blessings that go beyond all compare of what you could of ever desired in the first place.

Finally, as for those of you that don’t want to get rid of unhealthy desires, sadly, your ending probably won’t end the way you are hoping.  So, for the sake of your soul, your life, your happiness, and your family, I do hope that you’ll consider the wrongs in your heart, and make a firm choice to turn away, ask God in, and begin to feel a whole new – alive - transformation of glory! I promise, you’ll be happy that you did when all is said and done, and when your final breath is breathed.
