Words, actions, thoughts, and attitudes.

“…speak not with a stiff neck and insolent arrogance.” Psalm 75:5

The Bible talks so much about our words, thoughts, attitudes, and actions, therefore, it is in our best interest to take note of what is written, because, good or bad, we will eventually face the consequences of them all.

 

Private counsel

“You will guide me with your counsel…” Psalm 73:24

No appointment necessary, no insurance needed, cost need not be worried about, nor any situation too complex – God can, and will, counsel you through it.  He is available 24/7 and His righteous counsel will never lead you to a dead end, a bad decision, or a situation you can’t handle.

So, take your prayers, blessings, situations, hurts, pains, dreams, victories, and the like to God – He’ll guide you on what steps to take next.

 

No secrets

"O' God, You know my folly and blundering; my sins and my guilt are not hidden from You." Psalm 69:5

The following state cannot be said enough:

GOD KNOWS; God knows everything! So, if you are about to do, say, or re-act in a way that is unapproved by the Lord, then remember this - God is watching your every move and listening to your every word.

Iniquity keeps God from hearing us

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me;" Psalm 66:18

Speaking lies, fault, and ignorant words cut you off from the Lord, leaving your life meaningless; wasted.

However, speaking words of righteousness keep you connected to the Lord, leaving your life meaningful; precious.

Powerless or powerful?

“…power belongs to God.” Psalm 62:11

Unless you acknowledge, realize, and know that any power you have is because of God, then you truly are powerless.

Through God

“Through God we shall do valiantly [courageously, fearlessly, boldly, bravely]…” Psalm 60:12

Not above, below, around, or without, but through (among or in) God we shall do valiantly. 

Therefore, if you are looking for victory, favor, blessing, and abundance, do everything for God, with God, and through God, because He is the only way we can, and will, come out victoriously.

In the shadow of His wings

“…yes in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confident.” Psalm 57:1

When you understand that your life is for the glory of God and not for the glory of yourself, then you can peacefully live in His shadow knowing that danger and insecurity are things that need not worry you.

 

God delivers

“For You have delivered my life from death, yes, and my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life and of the living.” Psalm 56:13

God's children live in the light; God's children are delivered from death; God's children have a life worth living.

Give Him a call

"Hear O My people... I am God, Your God... call on Me... " Psalm 50:7,15

You don't even have to make an appointment, have health insurance, call long distance, or have a referral, just open your arms towards Heaven - He'll answer.

Honor with understanding

"A man who is held in high honor and understands not is like the beasts that perish." Psalm 49:20

A constant reminder to self (repeat after me):

I am where I am, I have what I have, and the honor I hold are all because of God - and God alone!

If I decide to think otherwise then I will soon have nothing; my success will fail, and the honor I hold will be taken from me.

God is in the midst.

“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;…” Psalm 46:5

Man or woman, when you accept God as your Savior, you can stand strong knowing that He will not let you crumble and fall!!

When we are in periods of hoping and waiting expectantly on God, not only does it give us time to draw closer in our relationship with Him, but it helps us appreciate the prayer request that we are awaiting on the good Lord to answer/give to us.

Iniquity and sin go hand in hand

Iniquity and sin lead to a dead end road

“For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.”  Psalm 38:4

Iniquity and sin go hand in hand.  Just like I posted yesterday, sin is horrid; hence, iniquity is just as bad.  Get away from it as fast as you can!  I know I am!

Want to know what sin does to the body? Read this!

Sin is horrid! It’s horrid for the body, mind, and soul.  Read these verses from Psalm 38, it gives just a small idea of how badly sin can affect a person:

3… there is no soundness in my bones because of my sin. 4 My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear. 6 I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning; 7 My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body; 8 I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart… 10 my strength fails me; the light has gone from my eyes…

So, let’s consider the sin in our life and decide if living with all of this grief is actually worth it.  As for me, whatever it takes, until the day I die, I am going to make a point to rid all sin from me, and to do what it takes to keep from doing it anymore.  No, I won’t be perfect, but it’ll be great stepping stones toward Christ, and to be with Him is what it is really all about.

A happy ending

"Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not... depart from evil...

for there is a happy end for the man of peace." 

Psalm 37:8,27,37

Want a happy ending? I'm not sure about you, but I think I've lived with anger long enough! Today, join me in making this solemn vow to the Lord:

"Lord forgive me for my unrighteous, unnecessary anger - the anger I've caused, and the anger I've held on to. 

Lord, today I make this solemn vow to you to let you know that from here on out I promise that I will take every ounce of all that I am to release anger from my inner self, my words, my expressions, my thoughts, and my attitudes.  

You know as well as I that I am human and I will have set backs, but may those be reminders and stepping stones of strength for this solemn vow.  

You are my life, Lord, and I can't have unrighteous anger and expect for my life to be blessed.  So, I give you this unrighteous anger from deep within me to take away, make it into my strength, and fulfill me with all of You. Thank you God. 

In Your sweet son, Jesus, name I pray to You - Amen, and Amen again!!

The secret of the Lord

"The secret of the Lord have they who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its meaning."Psalm 25:14

God has them! Surrender to Him, and His will, and you will find out for yourself.

Want confusion? 

The world has aplenty! Surrender to It and you will find out for yourself.

Salvation and redemption

No king is saved by the great size and power of his army; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.” Psalm 33:16

God is the only one that can save; God is the only one who can deliver.  Therefore, no matter who you are, God is way more - without Him as the leader of your life, you amount to nothing.

Let God be the leader of your life, and salvation and redemption are yours to come.

Instruction. Counsel

“I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8

God is with you every step of the way… Are you listening?  Are you listening, not only with your eyes, but with your heart, your soul, your eyes, and through the words of others?

God is here for you! Keep listening for Him, and you will soon be amazed at the way He loves, answers, instructs, and counsels you.

You are His very precious child! He will not let you down.

God knows your pain

“… you have seen my affliction, you have taken note of my life’s distress.”

Psalm 31:7

God knows everything about you, everything you are going through, what you’ve been through, and what you will go through. Therefore, do what you can to make peace in your heart, trust God to direct your paths, and know that He has your back and you will be truly blessed when all is said and done.

You will know when God speaks

The voice of the Lord is powerful, full of majesty; the voice of the Lord splits and flashes forth like lightning; the voice of the Lord makes the wilderness tremble and strips bare the forests.  Adapted from Psalm 29

Ever wonder if you’ve missed an answer, calling, decision, or direction from God?  Well, more than likely, you haven’t. The Word of God stands true and according to this amazing chapter in the Bible, when God speaks, you will know it.

When God is your leader

“And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me…” Psalm 27:6

Once you realize that God can, will, and does redeem you, you will never have to hide in fear again! 

Nothing, nor not anyone, can stand against you when God is the leader of your life!

Lift up your life to the Lord

"Lift up your heads... and be lifted up... the the King of glory may come in." Psalm 24:7,9

It is time for a makeover and God's the only one that can do it!  However, in order for your makeover to be completed, you must get up off of your pity-pot and let the Lord of glory into your life! So, GET UP! OPEN UP! STEP UP! And let the glory of God completely restore, rebuild, and revive you: body, mind, and spirit.  

Life is waiting for you, my friend, so take hold before it passes by.

Life, glory, blessing, and joy

“He asked life of You, and You gave it to him… his glory is great because of Your aid… For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence.” Psalm 21:4-6

Life, glory, blessing, and joy are yours when you put your confidence, hope, and trust in the Lord!

God's laws, commands, precepts, and ordinances... follow them!

“Moreover, by them [God’s laws, commands, ordinances, precepts] is Your servant warned… and in keeping them [God’s laws, commands, ordinances, precepts] there is great reward.” Psalm 19:11

Loving, obeying, seeking, and praising God will keep us on guard in this world, and provide us many rewards that are definitely worth the reaping.

Nothing is impossible with God

“For by You I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.” Psalm 18:29

Nothing is impossible

Sorrow, or joy and safety and life? You choose.

If sorrow is your choice, then heed this verse, Psalm 16: 4:

"Their sorrows shall be multiplied who choose another god..."

However if joy, safety, and life are your preferences, then continue reading Psalm 16 and heed these wonderful verses:

⁸ I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety,...

¹¹ You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. 

I pray that all of you choose the latter.  I know I do.

Want a life worth living for?  Does your life need something different, do you need to make changes, and/or does your life need an overhaul?  Well, there's no where better to start than by using the Word of God as the foundation to start living in a way that enables you to finish the race He has set before you. So, here are a few steps to get you started:

• Live sanctified: free from sin.
• Be loving: warm, kind, friendly, open, honest, trustworthy, compassionate,  and generous.
• Remain peaceful: Free of all anger, remorse, harshness, resentment, bitterness, depression, physical and mental lethargy, commotion and drama, wrath, and fear.

These may seem far-fetched for some, as life seems completely out of control, but hang in there, trust in God, do a little more each day to set yourself on His path, and before you know it, you too will have an amazing life worth living for!!
