When we cry out to God

“Again the Israelites cried out to the Lord, and he gave them a deliverer...”
Judges 3:15

As humans we constantly find ourselves falling off the wagon of God.  However, God knows that we are human and not perfect - not even close.  So once we realize that we have made a mess of our lives and have lost sight of God, all we have to do is cry out to him;  no matter how many mistakes, he hears us; he turns his heart to us and sends us his protection and blessing.  He will put us back on track and load us back up on his wagon.  From there, our messes will become blessings, our mistakes will be miracles in the making, and we will be thrust into a whole new level of Christ-likeness.

God is so good and we are so blessed.

Our own, personal bodyguard.

“… I will contend with him who contends with you… and I will make those who oppress you consume themselves…” Isaiah 49:23, 25, 26

I truly feel sorry for anyone that messes with any of God’s children, because their sinful behavior is about to turn their lives upside down, leaving those around them stunned at their sudden misfortune and in awe and amazement of the miracle that happens to the child of God they are trying so hard to oppress.

So no need to worry about those who seemingly keep getting the good breaks although lying and cheating are involved, because their time of superficial favor is rapidly coming to an end – and no one who knows God will want to be a part of that!

What is salvation?

What exactly is Salvation?

Well, I think that +Eugene H. Patterson, author of The Message, sums up the meaning of Salvation exceptionally well:

"The most comprehensive term for what God is doing to get us out of the mess we are in is salvation. Salvation is God doing for us what we can't do for ourselves."
(The Message, pg. 90)

God knows exactly what is going on

“This is God’s word… “I know what I am doing.  I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you… plans to give you the future you hope for.  When you call on me… I’ll listen.  When you come looking for me, you’ll find me…” Jeremiah 29:10 MSG

You may not know what is going on in your messes (turmoil’s) right now, but, believe me, God does!!  So, call on God, he has a great plan for you; keep hoping, praying, believing, and honoring Him, and, before long, He will prove that your messes and mess-ups are just unfolded blessings that needed some ironing out to give you a future filled with blessing and favor.

The apple of God's eye

“… God’s great love and purposes for us are worked out in the messes, storms and sins, blue skies, daily work, and dreams of our common lives, working with us as we are and not as we should be.”
Introduction to Joshua, The Message

Never think that you are not good enough for God, because you, my friend, in all your imperfections, are the apple of God’s eye.

Never mess with God!

"... Er, grievously offended God and God took his life."  Genesis 38:6-7, The Message, Pg. 69

It's not smart to mess with God.  Remember, He always wins and He will not let anyone or anything mock Him.
