What and who do you surround yourself with?

“So you shall put away the evil from among you.”
(Deuteronomy 19:19)

What and who do you surround yourself with?  Is there anything or anybody in your current environment infesting and filling you with  darkness, evil; anger, hurt, pain, fear, depression, anxiety,  resentment, or anything along the lines of darkness and pain?

Personally, I have let myself become so overwhelmed with a few situations in my life, which are now causing me to be continually anxious; the anxiety is causing me to lose sleep; the sleep is causing me to be angry and frustrated; which is causing me to...  The list keeps getting longer and longer – yikes.  It is time to do something, or some things - and quickly!

Isn’t it amazing how one seed of darkness can lead into the domino effect of even more darkness, bringing more darkness, and on and on?  We cannot let this happen! We are children of the Most High God and He does not allow these kinds of attitudes, as He knows that they only end in severe, unnecessary, consequences and pain for ourselves and for our loved ones.

So, what can we do?  We can completely remove ourselves from the environment to the best of our abilities.  I know that sometimes it is impossible to physically remove ourselves from certain environments, but we can do it mentally – How? – Powerful, non-stop, prayer, petition, and devotion to Christ. Devote yourself to time with the Lord; pray to Him and let Him know (openly) what is going on and ask Him for resolutions, insights as to how to solve these dark issues (person, places, or things) surrounding you.  You keep seeking Him and He will make sure you find Him, which in turn ends in the victory of overcoming yet another obstacle that the devil has thrown your way. Yep, you can throw it right back in satan’s face, making him weaker and you stronger than ever.

Filling yourself with God fills you up with victory!! Be blessed, courageous, and bold.
