“…so you shall purge the evil from among you.” (Deuteronomy 17:7)
Inside and out, we really, really need to get rid
of the evil around us, and even more importantly, the evil within us!
Living with evil (within ourselves or in our environment) only makes
God’s blessing of an abundant life become further
and further away from our grasp.
What are you feeling on the inside? Are you filled
with the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness,
kindness, goodness, humility, and self-control – or are you filled with
the direct opposite – hate, depression, vengeance,
impatience, arrogance, pride, heartache or pain, etc.? Answer honestly.
If anything in opposition of God’s fruit is filling the inside of you,
you MUST start taking drastic steps to rid yourself of it – please – it
is a matter of life or death.
Whatever steps you need to do, do them. Pray, read
the Word of God, and/or talk to a trusted professional or friend, but do
something, get it all out on the table then move on. It is ok to have
emotions, but it is not ok to let emotions
in opposition to God’s Spirit control you and your life! Again, it is
NOT ok!!
So, fight! Fight hard! The harder you fight
against the evil which fills you, the easier it is to win the battle ~
your life becomes alive again and the Spirit begins to lead you step by
step into the open and loving arms of our ALMIGHTY
GOD; life everlasting.
