Sin will catch up with you

”... and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.”

Numbers 32:23

Never think that you can get away with sin because no matter what, it will eventually sneak up on you and bite you in the fanny.  

Sinning isn’t the answer - following God and his Word is the answer.  Therefore, do what is right the first time around.

God wants to keep you from sin

“... Do not be afraid.  God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” 

Exodus 20:20

When in the midst of life’s fiery trials, fears, decisions, and torments, remember: God is with you!  Therefore, prove to him that you are faithful by staying away from sin and doing what he is telling you to do.  

So step out of the loud noises of the world and hear God, otherwise, you will keep God drowned out and the blessings of life he is leading you to will be washed away by this crazy world in which we live.

Sin can eat the life right out of a person

“… But your sins will eat away at you from within…” Ezekiel 24:22-24

 

Repent and release your sins over to God; life is too short to let sin control you and eat the life right out of you.  So, be free, be redeemed – how?  Stop sinning!  From there let God take over, cleanse you with his compassion and fill you with his healing power; let the bondage that has confined you for so long be released and let the new life that Christ wants to give you fill your mind, body and soul.

God's got your back

“God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know your intentions were pure, that’s why I kept you from sinning against me…”  Genesis 20:6-7, The Message, Pg 41

Don’t worry on making mistakes – if your heart and intentions are pure, God’s got your back.

 

You are not going through this alone

"... but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning."  Hebrews 4:15 AMPC

No matter how alone you feel, how afraid you are, how unsure your situation, or how difficult it is to make a decision, remember this:  Jesus is with you, He has been through this too, and He is holding you all the way through.  He was able to make it through without sinning, and so can you - you are His precious child, and you can do this!!  Therefore, if you are unsure of what to do, then wait on peace to fill your heart before making a decision.  If time is not an option, and decisions must be made, then do your best to make the decision that you think Jesus would make.  I sometimes feel that when we are unsure of what to do, it is Jesus's way of saying, "Go ahead and make the decision you want to make, and I will make sure it turns out to be the right decision.".  

So, remember, you are never going through anything alone, Jesus has been through it all, and has had to make the same decisions that you do - if He was able to go through it without sinning, then you have His power to go through them without sinning as well.    Yes, life is hard, but God is above life, and that means that you are able, you are strong, you can, and will, overcome, and God will see you through to the end.  My friend, hang tight, and know that you are going to come out of this just fine, and more blessed than you were before.
