“Cease to trust in man… “ Isaiah 2:22
It is so
important for us to remember that putting our trust, faith, hope –life - in man
will only lead to disappointment, despair, hurt, and resentment. Not to
mention, putting our complete trust into someone will put and undo pressure on
that person, leading to resentment, leading to miscommunication… essentially, a
no-win situation for either party. There
is only One that we can rely on, completely, wholly, and with our life in its
entirety – God, our Father.
Who have you
been putting your trust, your life, in lately? Is it God, or has it been man,
the economy, the government, your family, your friend, etc.? If your answer is any of latter choices then
re-assessment is in order. Hand
yourself, your life, your wants, your hopes, your dreams, your finances, your
family, your work, your hurts, and your fears into the hands of The Almighty –
when you do, He will take you to new levels that go beyond your comprehension.
