“In that day, says the Lord of hosts, the nail or peg that was fastened into the sure place shall give away and be moved… and fall...” Isaiah 22:25
Remember, God is the only, “Sure Place”, the
only Place to put your hope, confidence, life, prayers, future, family,
friends, and possessions – no other person, place, or thing comes close. When we invest our lives in anything other
than God, then we are walking a tight rope that will snap with the slightest
amount of pressure put on it; don’t chance it – don’t let your life be so
fragile that it could fall out from underneath you in a blink of an eye.
Your life matters so much to God, but you have
to give it to Him so that He can give you the great life He bore you to have;
you must make Him your, “Sure Place”.
So, today, take all that is important to you, prayerfully remove them
from the world and, with thanksgiving, hand them over to God. Not only will you
make an investment that withstands any circumstance that comes against them
(and you), you will leave inheritances and legacies that shine through the ages
to come for you and your descendants.
