Do not bring sin upon you

“... Do not bring sin upon the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.”
Deuteronomy 24:4

As humans we tend to take our answered prayers, be thankful for a short time, then quickly move on, forgetting the love we’ve been granted and the prayers that have just been answered; we begin to advantage of them, take all the credit for them, and we forget to be grateful to God for them.  Friends, that’s when sin sneaks in! That is when we let our blessings turn into curses. Therefore, when our prayers get answered, we mustn’t forget who answered them for us, who gave them to us!  God gives glory and miracles, in turn, we must give him all credit and honor.  We should treat our answered prayers as liquid gold and never, ever, let the power of Satan come in and destroy those things that we once begged God for.

In summary, stay on guard against sin, stay focused on God, be grateful always, and treat each blessing as if it’ll be the last blessing you ever receive.

Quiet time

At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place...”
-Luke 4:42 NIV

If Jesus disciplined himself for daily quiet time to pray and reflect, shouldn’t you?

Anyone who curses God...

“… Anyone who curses God will be held accountable…”
 Leviticus 24:13-16 MSG

God is never to be blamed, insulted, cursed or taunted.  He gave His Son for us, and He gave us a life to live.  Therefore, all that is due Him is honor, gratitude, thankfulness, our prayers, and all our love.
