Reverence for God.

"In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed]... and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father]." Hebrews 5:7 AMPC

When your revere God over and above all else, your prayers get heard - your prayers get answered.  Therefore, spend extra special time with God and let Him know how much you love Him just because He is Who He is, and when your time of want and/or need comes about, He'll hear you and He'll come running to your aid.

Use your voice.

“I cry to the Lord with my voice; with my voice to the Lord do I make supplication.” Psalm 142:1

Talk to God! Talk to Him openly, honestly, and whole-heartedly – He is listening! Make Him the first one you go to in all situations, in all circumstances, because He truly listens - He truly understands, and if necessary, (and in His way and His timing), He will respond.  So, make God your best friend, your number one confidante, and enjoy the world around you as it becomes a much brighter, much happier, much more peaceful and loving place to be.

Discouragement and opposition

"Then the work on the house of God... stopped. ..." +Ezra 4:24

Discouragement and opposition are certain in life.  Therefore, be prepared for them in advance using prayer and supplication to God as your weapon.  Then, when those two little annoyances pop up along your way, you can smile, wave, and continue moving forward to your goal without giving them a millisecond of your time or attention.
