Responsibility for the sake of Jesus

A few small reminders from the Word of God on how to live responsibly for the sake of Jesus. Good reminders for those of us that find ourselves getting too caught up in the world:

“ So live responsibly as a citizen, not just to avoid punishment, but also because it is the right way to live.  As well, pay your taxes, pay your bills, respect your leaders; don’t run up debts, except for the huge debt of love you owe each other.  Finally, be up and awake to what God is doing – get yourself out of bed, clothe yourself with his armor, and refuse to let Satan take control of your life.”

Accept, release, renew

“… But you have to face it, to accept the shame of your obscene and vile life…” Ezekiel 16:53-58 MSG

Harsh words I know, however, when it comes to sin you must accept responsibility, release them to God, and let him renew your life:  Accept, release, and renew – it is time my friend.

The makings of a great leader

“… These were Asher’s sons, all of them responsible, excellent in character, and brave in battle – good leaders…” 1 Chronicles 7:33-40 MSG

A great leader is all of the above, but a GREAT leader is a loyal follower of Christ with all of the above added in!
