Without a care in the world

“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; he came and set his people free… Just as he promised long ago… So we can worship him without a care in the world… made holy before him as long as we live.” Luke 1:67-79 MSG

As believers, we have been set free, we have a new life given onto us, and our cares are God’s cares.  This means that we can give him all our worries and anxieties and live our everyday lives in a calm delight.  So… are you living your everyday life in a calm delight? Boy, I sure want to, but I find myself spending many days in worry, fret, hurry, frustration, and weariness.  If you find yourself in the same boat as me, let’s begin to challenge ourselves; let’s give God what we can’t control, and take the opportunity in each and every situation - good or bad - to find the good in it.  Let’s dig deeper into God, and not in the world.  Otherwise we are going to be continually wasting our lives away on nonsense, on things of the world - things that really don’t matter when all is said and done.
