“Surely this came upon Judah at the command of the Lord, to remove them out of His sight because of [their] sins… “ 2
Kings 24:3
If we don’t do something about our sins (especially if God has prompted us over and over again) then God will do something
about them for us, and it won’t be pretty.
Therefore,
before we make God upset enough to deal with our sins Himself, let’s do
what God wants us to do - take the
initiative and begin taking care of our sin(s) ourselves; seek
forgiveness, repent, make amends, and destroy it (them)! If we take the
initial steps forward to do something ourselves, then God will make sure
to help us see it through to our breakthrough, and
we will be another leap forward to living the glorified life that God
died for us to live.
