“Likewise the Spirit helps us in
our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us…” (Romans 8:26)
We
all have times when we are so
internally focused on ourselves, that it’s hard to focus on God’s Word,
leaving us to feel ashamed or guilty. Well, there is no need to ever
be ashamed if you call yourself a child of God! He sent His Son to die
on the cross for us, and selfish times are
perfect examples of when He comes in an intercedes for us. He has
amazing grace and love for us, and He knows that we are nowhere near
perfect. Once we realize that our selfishness isn’t working, that’s when
we need to make sure to sprint back to God, seeking
forgiveness, and being thankful His ultimate sacrifice for us.
Yes, those of us that call ourselves
His child can always know that God is always right here to help, even when we don’t recognize it!
Oh, how amazing is He!!
