Exodus 18:19–20
Now obey my voice; I will give you advice, and God be with you! You shall represent the people before God and bring their cases to God, and you shall warn them about the statutes and the laws, and make them know the way in which they must walk and what they must do.
Before we speak and act, let’s be sure that what we are saying and how we are saying it pleases God. If we aren’t sure, then we should step back and seek his guidance as he will enable us to act and say all the right things; he will enable us to speak and act according to his will and purpose for each of our lives: our job (purpose) is to do what he tells us.
