Because He is God, your God

Stop the nonsense and just do what God tells you to do - live the way God tells you to live!!  My friend, your life is too precious to waste any more time not getting anywhere.

 

No nonsense

“But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.” II Timothy 2:16 AMPC

Empty words only take you down dead-end roads – stay away from them.  Your life is too precious to waste on such nonsense.

Stay away from the nonsense

"But refuse (shut your mind against, having nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questionings, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels." II Timothy 2:23 AMPC

Set yourself apart from strife, quarrels, bickering, and controversies - be a vessel that God can use to change such nonsense, and an example that man can use to change the course of their lives.

Irreverent babble

“… Turn away from the irreverent babble and godless chatter…” 1 Timothy 6:20 AMPC

It amazes me of the conversations, words, that come out of people these days… utterly pathetic at times.  So, do yourself a favor and refrain from joining in them.  However, if you have times that you must, then change the direction of the conversation with the words that you speak and the actions you display.
